Nice hotel, but by no means a 4. What saved the hotel issues was the excellent hotel dinners and the nature around the hotel.||Hotel is positioned in a lovely nature area, with free onsite parking. Room was spacious (apartment), but it could benefit from following improvements: ||1. Place the TV on a rotating arm so you don't have to watch it only from the hard wooden sofa but also from your bed||2. Provide more electrical sockets compared to the one available by the sofa (yes, you could take out the table lamp by your bed, but then you will not be able to have a light for reading)||3. Room temperature - we have not worked out how to adjust the room temperature; the Room Guide said to contact reception for temperature adjustment. Seems odd to call Reception and tell them you want your room temperature to be 21||4. Room had no coffee/tea making facilities||5. Only 4 coat hangers inside the wardrobe!||6. Bathroom toiletries - one small square soap and small tube (half empty) of moisturizer. Shower gel/shampoo inside shower fixed to the wall. I would expect more toiletries (better quality) in a 4||7. Shared balcony with neighbours. Do you really want to enjoy balcony and see your neighbour come out in boxer shorts???||8. Toilet water was yellow! - If they use recycled water in toilet, maybe worth putting a small sign by it to say "We are saving water, hence the colour"||9. 4* hotel but they do not provide you with slippers! We had to purchase a pair at reception of 30CZK. These were paper like...||10. Bathrobes - tatty, worn out and falling apart. Come on! ||||Although the hotel is listed as Wellness hotel, it should really improve these facilities. Whirlpool tub half functional, considering they have around 20 rooms, area in wellness had 4 (yes, you reading correctly) loungers for resting. If you want for the steam to function in the steam room, you need to contact Reception. This means, walking in your swimsuit from -1 to 0 floor and tell them in person as there is no telephone inside Wellness. I did not get the impression that the Wellness area was cleaned during the day at all. Pool is OK size, don't expect to swim here a lot.||||Now to the restaurant....||Breakfast is awful! Coffee water like and undrinkable. If you want a proper coffee, you need to pay for it and if you are used to a good quality tea, rather bring your own. Basic breakfast, most of it gone by 9am. If they do replenish anything, its done by small amounts (ie. two scrambled eggs, one tomato cut into pieces). However, the evening dinners (payed) are excellent!!!||||Staff and service||Young staff running around like headless chickens! Everybody did everything - given out menus, taken orders, bringing orders, laying tables, poring drinks in the bar, making coffee, counting bills...hence it looked and felt like total chaos. Lack of attention to detail, we sat 2 days by the same table and tablecloth was still the same one (with a dirt on it). Wine glass on table had dishwasher rings, and even still a lipstick print. Drink was brought in a chipped glass, cutlery showing wear and tear signs (even deep marks that were sharp) and even though you had a candle on your table, nobody bothered to light it. ||||Overall, nice hotel and like I said, evening food and nature saved our stay. Would I...
Read moreWe stayed in this hotel for a couple of days in August and have only wonderful things to say. Hotel Annin is an absolutely great place to stay and experience the surrounding beautiful nature, to relax and enjoy.||||The hotel's location is its first great feature - you have the Sumava national park close by, the Otava river passing just a few hundred meters away, endless bike and walking trails, historical sights and so much more. For the lovers of fly fishing - this is a little slice of heaven. The beautiful Otava river provides some awesome fishing with plenty of rainbow and brown trout, grayling... The hotel has a guiding service crew and even a small fly shop to help you stock up with the famous Czech nymphs.||||Our host, hotel's owner, Patrick, showed great hospitality and was more than helpful in providing us with valuable advice on fishing locations, rules, regulations, local tips and tricks. He also helped us get our fishing license - really helpful and time-saving. Hotel staff was super friendly and helpful at all times.||||The room was very nice and clean, our bed super comfortable, towels fresh, bedding sparking white. The hotel has a pool, sauna, and sundeck - definitely adding to the luxurious feel of the whole place. There is even a small bowling alley, which unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to try.||||The restaurant is something that really stands out - the food here is really delicious! Don't miss chef's delicacies and famous Bohemian local beers. Restaurant staff is really professional and friendly. ||||To conclude, we really enjoyed our stay at hotel Annin and will definitely be going back for more of...
Read moreWe spent several very nice days in this hotel at the beginning of April 2024. The hotel is quietly located, has a large parking lot and is an ideal starting point for excursions in the surrounding area – Šumava / Bohemian Forest. |The reception and restaurant staff were friendly and pleasant. Our room was adequately sized, clean and well equipped.|The restaurant is cozy and has a covered outdoor terrace for the warm days.|The breakfast buffet was varied and of high quality. We can especially recommend the always fresh bread from a local bakery, the homemade jams and the blueberry yoghurt. The jars for the fruit juices are (still) as big as in the good old days. The coffee was very tasty.|We also went to the restaurant for lunch and several times for dinner. We liked all the dishes very much. The signature dish from our point of view is fresh trout Annin from the farm just below the hotel. There is draught beer and homemade sodas.|The hotel's swimming pool had pleasantly warm water. The hot tub right next to it, on the other hand, had relatively hot water. The bathing area was in a neat condition.|In front of the hotel there is a charging point for electric bicycles, but not (yet?) for electric cars.|About 150 m from the hotel, you can buy beautiful souvenirs directly from the manufacturer at a fair price in the sales room of a small glass cutting shop.|We will definitely be happy to come back and will bring more members...
