The place is serene and the hotel is ok. It’s trying to be an upscale penzion but there is still much to learn to get to the European standard. The room we stayed in was rather small with a simple beds, table and one closet armoire. There was a nice veranda by the room with a view of the meadow with horses and cows. The bathroom was again simple, clean but missing the basic soap, shampoo or hairdryer. Bring your own. The breakfast was a buffet style and would be awesome if there wouldn’t be dozens of flies all over the napkin covered food. Window screens would solve that problem. ||Service was very friendly and helpful. ||The food was my biggest disappointment. I guess being advertised as an eco farm I imagined most of the goods would be home grown, prepared and served. I don’t think that’s the case. The menu was only 5 meals and 2 repeated every day. The best meal I had were blueberry dumplings and I actually ate two orders. They were so delicious. I had 4 meals there and the other 3 were very average at the best. ||They had a good wines and beers. ||Overall I’d recommend this place if you don’t...
Read moreI couldn't recommend this place more. You drive up into the Sumava mountains and find this beautifully renovated cabin right in the middle. The rooms are big, comfortable and well equipped. There is even a wellness center. The friendly owners are there to greet you and help you with whatever you need. Downstairs, the restaurant that provides an excellent breakfast is also available for lunch and dinner with home cooked meals and local ingredients should you desire. For walks in nature, you just walk up the road and there it is. Highly...
Read moreThis is described as an "ekofarma". We had dinner but did not stay overnight. They raise most (if not all) of the food they serve. They even get honey from their own bees! I had trout, nicely seasoned. The dining area is glass on three sides; it faces a large pond with a tiny waterfall & rustic rocks. Children were enthralled by the thousands of tiny black tadpoles which they scooped up and observed (second week of May). We walked around their ekofarma; wish we could have been able to learn...
