The main highlight here is the view. On a clear day it's lovely. We stayed in the hotel in a family room on the 6th floor which consisted of 3 bedrooms. All had double beds ( well, 2 singles pushed together ) and 2 of the rooms had an extra single bed. This was more than enough for the 4 of us. 2 of the main bedrooms had TVs so that was good. The air vents made quite a lot of noise even when shut. At night due to the tower being lit the rooms suffered from light spill and were quite bright. The bathroom was small but the shower was good. The toilet was a real squeeze. You could just about open the door without hitting the toilet! Overall the rooms were a little in need of a refurb. The furniture was old and tired. Rooms on the floor below were better equipped with newer furniture and a mini bar. Breakfast was pretty good to be honest. Plenty of choice and more than enough. Coffee was good as were the selection of teas. You could even have a Hruskovice for breakfast! A little kick to get you going I guess. We ate once at the restaurant in the evening but had light options which were ok so I can't comment on the quality of the main dishes. The night views are pretty but the restaurant lacked atmosphere. Service overall was pretty good with the waiters and waitresses keen to please. It was a novelty to stay here but I wouldn't return to spend the night. There are better...
Read moreJeštěd Tower is undoubtedly one of the most iconic landmarks in the Czech Republic, and my visit there was nothing short of magical. Nestled atop Ještěd Mountain, the tower combines breathtaking architectural brilliance with stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
The design of the tower is unique and futuristic, perfectly blending with the natural surroundings. It functions as a television transmitter, a hotel, and a restaurant, which makes it a versatile and fascinating destination for visitors. The climb to the top of the mountain can be a rewarding adventure, but for those less inclined to hike, the cable car ride is a convenient and enjoyable alternative, offering equally spectacular views on the way up.
Once at the top, the 360-degree views are mesmerizing, stretching across Liberec and the countryside. On a clear day, you can even spot parts of Germany and Poland! The restaurant inside the tower is an experience in itself, serving delicious Czech cuisine. The atmosphere is cozy, and the service is warm and welcoming.
Whether you're an architecture enthusiast, a nature lover, or simply looking for a peaceful retreat with incredible views, Ještěd Tower is a must-visit destination. It’s a perfect blend of human ingenuity and natural beauty that leaves a lasting impression. Highly...
Read moreWe ordered ice creams and pancakes. Prices are good as for the location. Ice creams were almost instantly melted because of hot berries. Pancakes were weird as I didn’t expect micro size and this is what you get at this price - three miniatures of very light pancakes. I think it should be mentioned in the menu as it’s one of the most expensive positions in the desert menu. Crodino was alright but bottled anyway, the lemonade (most expensive in drink menu) wasn’t very good, it states “lemonade with raspberry and lime” but besides nice colour it’s not very tasty - it was like carbonated water with a lot of those calcium tablets with raspberry taste and a hint of lime when you squeeze it but not to much. Not refreshing at all. Overall I recommend to eat there as everything looks good and plates looks taken with professional care, the waiters are really there and are very helping. Also prepare if you say you’ll pAy “by cash” they understand you mean paying in coronas. The place begins to be crowded about 11 o clock but before it’s a loads of free space in a restaurant. The interior is great but we were in a part of dining room (there are 3 separate as I could see and 2 of them were closed not available to sit) which was in my option the worst - those tables and chairs were not in a spirit of the whole...
