Hotel M — Hotel in okres Olomouc

I've stayed at the Hotel M a few times and I've eaten there numerous times.

First let me start with the hotel:

The accommodations are fairly basic but in this price point they exceed expectations. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The location in the town center is perfect and there is ample parking.

The Restaurant;

I always enjoy eating here. The food is always fresh, the prices are reasonable, the service is excellent and the staff are attentitive.There is both indoor and outdoor seating and depending on the weather both are a good option. I usually prefer to sit outside if possible because the outdoor sitting area is spacious and peaceful, especially considering the location right in the town center.

Absolute scam. Never ever. Stay away from this hotel as far as possible!

Absolutely nothing – by far the worst accommodation experience I’ve ever had within the EU!

Long story short. The listing said the reception was open until 7 PM. I called the number provided to ask if I could arrive between 9 and 10 PM. The staff member told me it was fine. Some time later, they sent a text saying it wasn’t possible — but I was already on the way and didn’t read the message (not able to because I was driving). They left me standing in front of the hotel, claiming I made up the call. In the end, they charged me 100% for a no-show, insisting I made up the phone conversation. The hotel is rather old-fashioned but our room was spacious. Separate toilet and bathroom was good. Buffet breakfast was more than adequate. Perhaps there was a temporary shortage as we stayed two nights and saw no single member of staff in the dining room at any time. Most disappointing however was that the room was not made up during our two days. It may be as good as one gets in Sternberk and I have to admit that value for money was pretty good.
