Hotel Zámek — Hotel in okres Olomouc

We found Zamek Hotel on the Tripadvisor web page and made a reservation for 1 night. The photos / information indicated a lovely hotel in a small village setting only 6 k. from Olomouc. When we arrived the paint was pealing off the front of the hotel. The fountain was dry and cracking. The room was clean, but clearly everything was in poor repair. The hotel is located in the center of an industrial section of what looks like the area where workers live. There was no town center - only a street through a row of houses. We were the ONLY guests in the hotel. When we asked where to park our car they suggested we park out back in the hotel "lot" because it was safer behind the gate. The lot behind the hotel was an open space with a gate on one side, but where anyone could get in from the anyplace else. At 10:30 p.m. we decided it was really not safe and left the hotel, driving back to Prague. We have booked this place on our way back from Croatia. Fair prices, good connection to Olomuc, nice and clean rooms with very pleasant beds. Breakfast included with good selection of choices for adults and children. Nevertheless there are also some cons: no air condition, during the summer you cannot sleep with closed windows, one we have opened it there was concert in arena next to hotel that has finished before midnight. You can imagine how "happy" you are after 15 hours of driving and willing to have some rest. Of course there was no any info in advance from hotel. Big point for improvement. Jeszcze rok temu poleciłabym Hotel Zamek. Niestety teraz podupadł. 7 lutego 2025 zostaliśmy na 1 noc. Niestety po 18.00 restauracja hotelowa jest już zamknięta i nie można zjeść kolacji. Pani w recepcji powiedziała, że tylko w weekendy restauracja jest czynna do 19.00. Nie zraziłam, dlatego zarezerwowałam nocleg na sobotę 15 lutego 2025. Jakie było moje zdziwienie jak obsługa restauracji o godz. 17.45 mi powiedziała, że restauracja od 10 minut jest zamknięta! Po długiej podróży byliśmy głodni, ale obsługa restauracji nic nie zaproponowała, nawet zupy. Na moje pytanie czy w okolicy można coś zjeść dowiedziałam się, że możemy sobie zamówić coś z McDonalda lub KFC! Niestety w sobotni wieczór w miejscowości Velka Bistrice okoliczne restauracje są pełne albo zajęte na imprezy prywatne. Po 7 godzinach podróży musieliśmy się wracać 10 km do Olomouc’a, żeby coś zjeść. Ale nie to było najgorsze. Wieczorem w hotelu rozpoczeła się wielka impreza. Do godz. 3 rano bardzo głośno grała muzyka. Więc nie dość, że w hotelu po podróży nie można nic zjeść, to też nie można się było wyspać!!! Nie wierzę, że restauracja nie działała, skoro goście imprezy dostawali jedzenie. Rozumiem, że hotel żyje z organizowania dużych imprez, jednak rezerwując nocleg na konkretny dzień obsługa hotelu mogła uprzedzić, że w hotelu będzie bardzo głośno.
