Hotel U zeleného stromu — Hotel in okres Plzeň-jih

This lovely hotel can be found about fifty miles or so south of Prague. We have stayed in Prague itself, but on this trip wanted to experience the feel of a non-tourist atmosphere. The hotel is very quaint and right on the main square in the village of Nepomuk. Our room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. The room was situated on the front side of the hotel so we had a fantastic view of the town square and could look out and watch the townspeople going about their business. Breakfast was included with our room and each morning we were offered a spread of eggs, cold cuts, yogurt, rolls, pastries and so on. Breakfast is served in a lovely banquet room. We also ate a few meals at the hotel’s restaurant. I had the more traditional Bohemian fare and my husband chose less traditional selections. We both enjoyed everything we ate and neither of us left the table hungry. If you are driving the hotel does provide free parking in its lot right adjacent to it. The hotel we have visited for a romantic weekend. Accommodation was with breakfast included and one romantic dinner. ||||Accommodation is okay and there is everything you need in room. We have just had a room with broken bath tub as some plumbing were leaking on the lower floor, so we had to be moved, but with no problem about it, just to room across hallway. When you stay there, you usually obtain a gift card with some extra bonus for you next stay.||||Dining was something more remarkable. Breakfast were really rich and with a wide opportunities from fresh sweet pastries to eggs and bacon. In fact when you eat everything prepared on your table, you will be full for the whole day.||||The restaurant we have had known from before, so we were excited about their special dinner, which was really remarkable. But even if you would like just to have some lunch or dinner, you can’t make mistake here. The choice of fresh, home-made meals from local ingredients is wide enough to satisfy all needs. no free parking for hotel guests (there was a wedding + some other non guest were parking there) so there was no space for us||- the entrance to the hotel is through a crowded terrace with people watching you and your heavy bags, not a good solutin for the main entrence for hotel guests !||- service in the restaurant was very poor but the worst service I have seen in a long time was the old lady at breakfast, she was shocking, she did not like her job whatsoever, to answer a question was a big problem||- breakfast buffet was average||- the drainage in bathtub was a little bit blocked need a proper cleaning||- the underroof room we had was too hot due to a high outside temperatures, no A/C||- the mattress was very uncomfortable!||- people on the main square and outside of the hotel were extra loud so sleaping was not easy||+ ala carte dinner...
