Pension Snow — Hotel in okres Prachatice

We stayed here for four nights to meet with the families of friends. We were nine families and we had breakfast and dinner included. The pension was excellent, our room was quite traditional but with a modern touch. The bathroom was very new and even though the building is approximately 200 years old, you can tell that it is kept in shape and updated regularly. The host was very helpful and made sure that meals were on the table in time and that everything was fine. I was impressed by the high professional standards and the quick/efficient service. You could self-serve drinks 24/7 at the refrigerator, but you can also bring your own beverages. We really felt at home and enjoyed the family room and the spacious accommodation. We took day trips to Krumov and Austria, that we can recommend. The immediate surroundings are not too spectacular, there is a supermarket nearby and ample parking in front of the building. Tolle Pension bei der ein Gast sich wohl fühlt! Ehepaar u. 1 Hund | 7 Tage Diese Pension in einem alten denkmalgeschütztem und top restauriertem Bauernhof hat ein tolles Flair. Die Betreiber waren super freundlich. Obwohl es fast täglich viel(!) geschneit hat wurde ständig der penionseigene Parkplatz mit viel Mühe nahezu schneefrei gehalten. Es wurde bereitwillig auf Wünsche eingegangen und umgesetzt. Das Abendessen war täglich frisch gemacht, große Mengen und echte, schmackhafte Hausmannskost der böhmischen Region. Die Zimmer sind rustikal und weitgehend original(getreu) - einschließlich der undichten Doppelfenster. ;) Dies wird aber durch die moderne Zentralheizung gut ausgeglichen.

(Persönliche) Minuspunkte: Es gibt nur Instant- oder türkischen Kaffee. Für uns als Urlaubslangschläfer war die Frühstückszeit (nur) bis 09:30 Uhr etwas nervig. Wirklich unangenehm war jedoch das Heizverhalten des Nachbarn (wofür natürlich die Pensionsbetreiber nicht's können) Es stank manchmal so aufdringlich nach irgendeinem Kohle/Plastikgemisch, dass direkt das atmen schwer fiel. Weiter vernebelte bei ungünstigem Luftdruck der gelbliche und stinkende Rauch rundherum in Gesichtshöhe die ganze Umgebung.

Diese paar Nachteile 'kratzen' aber durch die Vorteile dieser Pension letztlich nicht an unserem super Gesamteindruck von dieser Pension.

We had to postpone the trip for several months due to Covid. Owner was helpful with the process. Upon arrival we had tour around the complex, suggestions where to visit etc. He was really friendly. Whole place was beautifully decorated and had that old farmhouse vibe. I appreciated the garden area which had perfect lawn and where you can chillax in the evening. I loved the bed, it was big and the mattress was comfortable. Bathroom was old but it was clean and the water pressure was good. Breakfast was ok. Simple and all the essential was there.
