Please note the reception is not covered 24/7 as is the standard in hotels. The receptionist is there only for check in and check out times. She also helps in the breakfast room as the hotel is seriously understaffed so quite often you won´t find her at her desk but you can always call her (from your own phone as there are no lines in the rooms). Wifi could be faster. Kettle and iron / ironing board is only available upon a request and anything you need in the room, you need to carry from downstairs yourself as the housekeeping lady is too busy and there is noone else who could do it. Same if you need to empty your bin in the afternoon or evening after the cleaner had left. You need to do it yourself. I honestly found this bizarre. Selection of toiletries is limited (no body lotion, no conditioner) and in fact most of the bottles were half empty when we checked in so housekeeping is certainly not perfect. The same situation the next day - I had to call to get new toiletries. They are very basic ones too (don´t expect any decent brand) - you might as well pack your own. Bottled water was not replaced either. Ants in the breakfast room including in the cups! No foreign TV channels! Breakfast ok. Grocery across the street and pub with childrens playground a few steps away. Some good restaurants and kids friendly farm nearby. Don´t expect anything in the actual hotel though - no room service, no restaurant, no spa / massage...
Read moreBoutique Hotel Diana was one of the best hotel experiences I've had in a long long time. The rooms are very nicely decorated with a comfortable feminine touch. Everything is well coordinated from the furnishings to the wall and window treatments. Lots of attention is obviously shown to detail. ||The staff were friendly and made us feel very comfortable and welcomed. Parking was made available to us at no charge. We were even offered a complimentary welcoming drink. ||I felt we made the right choice. We drove to a P & R (park and ride parking lot) where we picked up the metro into the city. The parking was easy to find and the metro was simple to find and easy to maneuver . Parking was extremely inexpensive. ||I hesitate to recommend this hotel for fear that everyone will find out how great a stay it is and it will be so booked that when I return there will be no rooms left. ||A few minor things in my particular room was the shower fixture was stuck where I couldn't turn the water flow off on the shower head. It was stuck. Plus, the water temperature isn't consistent. We expected our room to be made up every day and that didn't happen. But, that may have been because we left the hotel late every morning; perhaps after the maid staff left. ||I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. Tell the staff your decision was based on my recommendation as I told the guy checking me out that they would be getting a super Trip Advisor...
Read moreHotel is very nice. Our room was nicely furnished and water pressure was good for the shower. The toilet had a bidet, which is nice. Location of the hotel is about 20 minutes from Prague 1 - castle, Charles bridge etc, and about 15 minutes from the park and ride on the red line metro. Hotel Diama offers breakfast from 730 am to 10 am. Breakfast has an assortment of deli meats, breads, fruit, veggies, cereal, coffee, eggs, sausages, and other items. Good selection and staff was friendly and helpful. It felt like the vendors in Prague were trying to swindle us, and the hotel was the only place with straight forward service, payment, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel location is in the middle of a village and seems out of place, but that allows the price to be more reasonable. If we ever have to return to Prague, hotel Diama would be on our shortlist of...
