Olivův pivovar — Hotel in okres Praha-západ

I would not recommend this hotel. The restaurant was nice and the food was tasty, but the hotel service was terrible. (Our room number was 1).

--- No room service --- After first night no one came to clean the room. No one came to replaced the towels or replenish toilet paper. We had to go down to ask the waiter from the restaurant to give us some toilet paper... After complaining to the owner via email, clean lady serviced the room next day. Although she did not vacuum or swept. The day after the room was not serviced again...

--- Shower not working properly --- The shower had extremally low water pressure. I was unable to completely wash my hair because of this. (I have long and high volume hair). From pictures you can see there is also an overhead shower head. But we did not mange to turn it on...

--- firm matrasses --- Our room had extremally hard matrasses. If you prefer to sleep on your side I do not recommend this place. After 3 nights we decided to move to the other hotel (hotel Pyramida in Prague city center) because the mattress was unbearable.

--- broken reading lights - - - Reading lights mounted on the bed frame were not working. We checked if they were connected to electricity, but we did not managed to make them work.

--- Sick restaurant employee --- We were served breakfast by sick person (we overheard the employee saying she has elevated temperature and she feels overall sick).

Overall I strongly do not recommend this place. It's possible that we were just unlucky regarding the cleaning lady and the sick restaurant employee. But even then, the matrasses are really hard and the shower is...

My wife and I went to the restaurant with my cousin and her husband. They went for the beer spa treatment and spent a night there. They enjoyed the treatments and overnight stay.|We've had a dinner all together. Beer selection from local brewery was excellent. I've ordered a chicken supreme with mushroom spaetzels, quite tasty and juicy.|Wife ordered US black Angus steak with ratatouille and beurre rose . Medium done. She received her meal and after first attempt to use her steak knife, it was obvious, that the meat was not up to its pedigree. I tried it myself, but it was sent back to the kitchen. We were ascertained, that the chef will make it again. Chef Tomáš Macal came personally and appologized for not satisfying our expectations, nice touch. He even brought a label from his supplier confirming the US source! He explained, that the restaurant is preparing for a fall menu and they were testing three suppliers for steaks. Obviously, the first one failed. He personally, again, brought the new steak and then came back to get a feedback! We've spent a good time "talking food" and travel. This chef has definitely love for food and wants to use his over twenty years of experience to advance this restaurant into higher levels, while still affordable. His heart is in the right place, knows his craft. Food quality like on roller coaster. We tried American weekend last saturday and it was terrible. The personal told us the french fries are prepared from oven-ready food, the royal burgers meat was totally dry and cheescake with raspberries weren't with raspberries but with puree with taste of raspberries.The food we get was cold. "Špecle" with sauce from mushroom was tragedy. I don't want to give any star, but burger with duck meat and corn soup with chilli were pretty good.Sorry, only the duck meat was fine, not the whole burger.
