Penzion u Tuláka — Hotel in okres Praha-západ

We were put up here by friend who's apartment was too small. It is right at the end of the village, and the last bit of road (200m) is unlit at night - but they leave the light on. It felt quite safe walking here in the dark. Father and son have some English. The rooms are accessed by the veranda. Colour is bright and clean. Fittings are Ikea and not strong so at present look fine and work ok. Soap and shower gel/shampoo provided. Towels are the normal Czech one small per person. Clothing space limited but they would provide more hangers if asked (I am sure). TV. chairs to sit with small table. Breakfast is a plate with 2 of egg/ham/cheese/frankfurter with no choice. Bread rolls fresh, yoghourt, maybe apple, rather than the self service of larger hotels. Clientel are mostly walkers and business people out of season. The nights were wonderfully quiet. They do take plastic.||It is 10 minutes walk to the centre of the town, and to the station where Prague is 30 mins every 1/2 hour. You can get discount for 2 or more on a train ticket, and you can get a city transport ticket for the day use on tram, metro and bus. (115kr for 2 by train but 64kr for one; 220kr for city pass for 2 (30kr per £) Trains go up to midnight. ||There is a meal option but it is from the freezer (meat, chips type of thing)||Well placed if you also want to do some walking around Beroun (15mins) or Karlstein (10) and prefer to visit the city without...

The Penzion u Tulaka is a beautiful budget friendly place for people who like strolling around the area and also don't want to opt for expensive options within Prague.

Lovely couple with good host. Their English capability is limited but they are very empathetic. Rooms were neat and tidy.

Take S7 Praha smichov to Dobrichovic and walk around 15 mins. The short walk is also beautiful.

We stayed here just one night and arrived very late. Owners did not seem very happy that they had to get up because of us. They were not very talkative and friendly at all.
