Horská chata Skácelka — Hotel in okres Semily

The stay was really the best choice we could make. The price is moderate, the location and view are just incredible. Whoever wishes to have a quiet, cozy and peaceful apartment surrounded by beautiful nature should definitely consider staying here. We needed to park at another apartment a few hundret meters away but that didnt cause any problems. We were picked up from our car and also brought back to our car whenever we wanted. Also, it was easily possible to walk back to our car through the forest in a few minutes. The staff has a warm and welcoming attitude, we almost felt like home. The family-like atmosphere together with the cozy rooms and restaurant just rounded up the whole trip. The restaurant offers a nice breakfast menu in the morning as well as the possibility to have lunch and dinner. Special thanks to the cook, the food is just fantastic. The menu isnt big, but the few things on the card are made with love and are all high quality, super tasty meals. I cannot say enough good things about this place. It starts with being perfectly located for ski in / ski out in the winter, and close to joining many beautiful marked trails further into Jizerské hory and Krkonoše. The rooms are basic, but the beds are comfortable and some have an amazing view over the Rokytnice valley. The restaurant area looks like a super cosy log cabin, and there's also a fireplace (adding to the overall atmosphere). The food is absolutely incredible and the best I've had in this area. So even if you're not staying overnight, I highly recommend just stopping by the for the food and tasty draft Pilsner. Skacelka also has a little sauna that can be booked even if you're not a guest, which I'd highly recommend if you're staying there for a ski trip. Superb place! One of my best hotels I’ve been to. Arrival is not so easy (there are paved roads to here, but quite steep driveway), so not too many people. It is little house on the slope. We were there during the spring. It was super stay! Lady was speaking perfect english, everybody were nice and helpful. It is very cosy mountain house on the tracks and hiking trails. Room was nice, clean. Comfortable beds. Our dog was welcome here and he had a nice time too. Breakfast - superb: scrambled eggs and continental mix. But for me most amazing thing is the area!
