Pension Trautenberk-Trautenberk Steak Restaurant — Hotel in okres Semily

Total disaster. We are frequent travelers and this was amongst the worst stay in years. The staff was incabable to steer up the 10-15 "latte-mothers" with their uncontrolled screaming children in the restaurant. Totally unacceptable not beeing able to eat breakfast or dinner in an envitonment where you can not even hear your own voice.||||The rooms were a bit to small and the shower had just one fixed position, which made it hard for anyone taller then 110 cm .||||The restaurant served delicious dinner. And the hostess did a great job.||||The place has a great potential but the management needs to decide on what audience they offer their service to. ||||The management lacked the ability to inform us, at the point of booking, that there would be a party of 30 with small children. ||||The management did not steer up the "latte-mothers" group when they took over the place making the rest of the guests avoiding the...

What I liked: Very helpful and accommodating staff. They kindly let us check in 1,5 hours after reception closing time, and when we asked, they also served breakfast at 7:00 which is 30 minutes earlier than usual. The steak restaurant offered good food, and the breakfast had a nice variety of options. The setting was pleasant, with the historic character of the building well preserved. Everything was clean, and there was a secure, locked room for storing bicycles.

What I didn’t like: A fairly noisy street near the hotel where cars and motorbikes drive fast even at night. The noise can be heard with the window open. Pillows of poor quality, they don’t provide enough support. Duvets very heavy and warm considering it’s the beginning of September...

Me and my husband, we were looking for some gateway stay for our last minute ski trip to Czech Republic. We stayed for 4 days including New Year's Eve. The place is nice and cosy, the staff is pleasant (speak little English but good German) and the rooms are good size and clean. ||We had breakfast included in the price of stay which was great (more time for skiing).The pension has a very nice steak restaurant (reasonable prices, fireplace) and spa (which you can hire for yourself or for a group) with jacuzzi and sauna. ||The place is slightly remote. It takes 20 min drive to get to Rokytnice nad Jizerou or Špindlerův Mlýn and about 40 min to get to Pec pod Sněžkou. So car is a must.||It was a good value and we would...
