“Meyana was a delightful, restful, and informing stop on our recent visit to the Czech Republic. Hosts Sevil and Bora have tastefully converted a 19th C. schoolhouse into a cozy six room inn, nestled alongside a village pond in Dolni Jadruz, a serene place in the countryside with just 20 or so families. Breakfasts included homemade cheeses, yummy eggs from a neighbor’s chickens, and baked delights from Meyana’s kitchen. Dinners included hearty roasted meats and locally grown vegetables, accompanied by curated Italian wines from the inn’s cellar. Sevil and Bora shared helpful advice about visiting nearby spa towns, Marianske Lazne and Karlovy Vary, medieval sites in nearby Germany, and other places of interest. Read moreA wonderful experience we had! First of all, the pension is located in a very quiet but poetic village. The building has its story - it is very sensitively renovated old house, which used to be a local school. Rooms are furnished with original antique furniture. There is castle look like dining room, a furnace or fireplace if you will... Breakfast - very rich, offer homemade pastries, yogurts and marmalade. We tried wine cellar, we find here excellent Italian wine as well as unique marble Turkish spa. The dinner was just fantastic!! Read moreNo doubt that it is one of the favorite hotels I stayed in Czechia. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the owners. They were extremely friendly and hospitable. The rooms were clean, spacious and well appointed with beautiful furniture. The beds were super comfy. Their authentic Turkish hammam and wine cellar were fascinating. Definitely worth to see. The food from Meyana kitchen and the wine from Meyana cellar were really delicious. The breakfast was plentiful and yummy. We loved the place so much that we already booked another stay.
