We have visited Labska Bouda on Sunday 31st October with 2 friends around 2 p.m. Firstly we’ve ordered 2 biers at the buffet with no language issues whatsoever. Few minutes later I decided to get a glass of prosecco and a portion of soup at the bat in their Restaurant. My Dear God how rude, unpolite and racist the older chap there was! He would pretend that he doesn’t understand Polish at all! Even point with the finger in the menu what I’m after he still was trying to make me to speak Chech, that clearly is simmilar to polish and he would not want to speak neither English or German!|Eventually I got my glass of prosecco and soup ordered when it comes to payment…and again MASSIVE problem as I only have polish zloty on me…that makes the guy furious! He takes the payment and asks where about am I seating?! The answer is patio…God help me please as this guy shouts and yeals at me that he wont serve the soup out there!|I got my soup and prosecco with not a single bubble whatsoever!|Few minutes later I decided to make a trip to the bar and grab another glass of prosecco. The same chap pretends he doesn’t understand ..I got a little angry and I tried to explain that his attitude is unacceptable and me running a restaurant in Poland would not let him be employed for more than 2 minutes as he has no clue what hospitality is about.|He would not serve the second glass of prosecco until I bring the first glass back…how bad is that?!!!|He then furiously uses fresh glass (actually there was still some lipstick on…so it was not clean) and pours the prosecco…I then ask him to open a fresh bottle as that one is flat. ..God please help me as this guy goes mental! He shouts and yeals that the prosecco is finished and that was the last bottle…when it actually isn’t!|He shortly finds another bottle and with full of madness throws me that dirty glass with prosecco at the counter…and again…the payment in polish zloty…guy goes crazy…absolutelly mad.|Few minutes later we wanted to take some pictures at the balcony..so my frend ask the guy how to get outside…guy would not explain…he just yeals that there are maintenance works undergoing so we’re not allowed…|That day we visited 7 places nearby in the mountains and we had never been that badly served,…that badly looked after,…that badly everything|…and the last word to the management:|That guy at the bar is ruining your bussines - he has no clue how big damage to the place he makes. People outside heard our conversation and said it’s pretty common thing that happend there…YOU MUST...
Read moreI quite enjoyed staying here for 3 nights. The area is remote, peaceful and beautiful. The hotel itself is a unique, character hotel in the middle of all of the wonderful mountains on the Czech Republic/Poland border. As a Canadian, I came to this hotel after looking at the numerous negative reviews on tripadvisor not expecting the best. Yes, it is not a 5* hotel (and no you will not find a 5* hotel around these parts), but it is a comfortable hotel that allows you access to hiking/skiing trails galore. |I enjoyed waking up each morning and having a light breakfast before we headed our on our 13-18km walk. We were happy to return to the hotel for an afternoon snack and pivo. Yes, the prices are a little more than what you would think to receive in these parts but frankly, they could charge whatever they wanted as there is no competion around the corner. The beer was great and at 50kc I had no problem paying it. The staff here are very cordial and nice, not overly winners of any service awards but they don't give them out here in this part of the country either. I found them helpful and polite, that is all I needed. |I would recommend this hotel to others; I would also recommend you come to this location with an open mind. This is not a 5* hotel and you will not get a sauna, steamroom, room service and massage services. What you will get is a 'throwback' Communistic era hotel that is a great base to walk or ski throughout this wonderful part of the world. If you come here expecting 5* service and amenities you will probably write a review much like the people who wrote a review prior to mine. When you come here, come here to use it a base while you enjoy the area, enjoy a beer and a meal and you will be...
Read moreThis building is known as controversial but for me, since childhood is fascinating. After many years I planned the trip this October. Restaurant was closed, the only chance was to visit bufet. Prices are higher, that was expected in the mountains, one beer 0,4 l costs 60 CZK, one small cake for 60 CZK. The other meals also expensive, especially soup for 80 CZK. This is really high price comparing to the environment at the buffet, bad furniture with strange design, not fully clean, interior full of advertising posters. From the other hand, the building and the place really have genius loci, the view from the window...
