Penzion - Kamenný Mlýn — Hotel in okres Trutnov

I would like to share with you our horrible experience with Mrs. Brown who is the hotel Kamenný Mlýn owner. This hotel is very nice and in the beautiful place, but Mrs. Brown is not able to communicate with customers and does not know how to care about them. Immediately after our arrive she informed us that the apartment which was confirmed us by email and for which we paid advance is not free. When we requested what happened she informed customer from Netherlands who pay more Money for the room then Czech customers needed this kind of room so she gave them "our" room. Based on her information this is standard situation and this is her business. So she has offered us that the smallest triple room which I have ever in my life seen.(looked like small single room with three beds or some cleaning room)||The second problem started when our two years old daughter started to need to go for WC. I must say that Mrs. Brown through my daughter out for snow before Kamenný mlýn!!! If you have children So understand my feelings.||I must say that finally she asked us ( she had the payment for accommodation minimally 1 month before arrival ) WHY did we arrive there? Maybe, she supposed that money has got already so that her work finished. Mainly After problem with WC for our daughter we decided to leave this pension and find some other hotel. Here are customers only pockets and depends how Money you want to spend here...of course when you are from foreign country you are welcome... Having had Kamenny Mlyn inthe Czech Republic recommend to me by a friend who had visited last year I decided to take a trip myself for ski holiday. It was one of the best holidays I've ever had, it was indeed a very friendly family run hotel/pensions. All staff were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was clean and warm, the bar and restaurant were warm and inviting and the food was second to none. (Put 3 kilos on in a week) Can't recommend this place enough in fact I'm heading back to see what its like during the summer as its supposed to be equally adventurous during that time. Ideal for those who like to get out and about and see the country and has to be one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. This was my first trip to the Czech Republic and my first ever skiing holiday. Myself and my wife travelled with friends with two small children (3 & 5) and from the moment we arrived we were made instantly welcome by our hosts, TJ and Ivana. Kamenny Mlyn is a converted mill which has been lovingly restored, extended and warmly decorated with log burners and comfy sofas creating a cosy living area in which to relax after a day on the slopes. The food is exceptional with a wide variety of meals to suit all tastes. Hard to believe Ivana can create such wonderful food from a family kitchen, you will never go hungry here.
