We wanted to overnight one night because my wife and I were attending a wedding nearby and wanted a no-frills place to crash after the party.||||First warning signal was them telling me on the phone (I called to check for the reception opening hours) that there were no vacancies but I could see in multiple of the usual booking sites that there actually were.||I was able to check in in the afternoon nonetheless because, surprise, there were vacancies after all.||||The room was quite dated. That is not per-se a problem for "cheap" accommodation, but it was not clean either: there were some sort of wooden shavings on the carpet and the room had not been cleaned for a while, because there were a lot of not-built-overnight spiderwebs alongside their industrious occupants.||||The bathroom was clean, although I can say that the shower faucets could benefit some mineral removal (or replaced for this-decade counterparts).||The shower had a way-too-short (and not particularly clean) curtain that made the whole bathroom a mess with water after the shower.||Bed was alright and linen were clean so we could have a pleasant sleep after the party because it is also a very quiet area. But the curtains are not dark enough at all so we were greeted with very early morning sun :-(||Walls are paper thin by the way and one could clearly hear people talking quietly outside because windows are not sound proof at all.||||Included breakfast was not overly good. Bread rolls were not from the day and were extremely dry and so was the cacao paste. Pastries were ok and so was the juice and coffee. Had the bread been ok, it would have contributed massively to the overall breakfast experience. The dining area has a nice view to the fields and it is way more modern than the room was.||||We did not make much use of anything else, but the surroundings looked cute and inviting. Service was overly nice and call me a taxi to drive me to the wedding. Excluding the woman that told me that there were no vacancies because she did not want to tell me that it was not possible to check in late.||||We were not looking for much and the price was not too expensive, but the value we got for our money was poor. I will not come back if I need a place to stay in the area. I'll be happy to pay more and get significantly more for my money...
Read moreThis is an American 70s style motel with several buildings, needing refurbishment badly. .The main reason for my low overall rating is that there hardly was any water in the shower, just a few drops came drizzling out, barely allowing me to wash a little. Trying to wash your hair was unthinkable. This is unacceptable for a hotel/motel nowadays. There was WiFi everywhere, but the signal was weak. There is central heating, but it was not on (or not working), so the room was quite cold (this was one of the first cool autumn nights). There appeared to be no heating in the bathroom. The room was big enough though, and the bed was okay (well, a bit too soft). Old TV with only a few German channels + BBC World News (no Danish channels), poor video quality. The restaurant was closed when I arrived in the evening, but they have normal Danish dishes. There is a small bar in the reception, and the staff was friendly enough. The breakfast buffet was miserable and unappetizing. Will never stay here again, unless I happen to be in a REALLY desperate need of a place to sleep. On the positive side: It is CHEAP, and the location near motorway E45 is convenient (no traffic noise to...
Read moreIt is a one star motel with big rooms, a soft comfortable bed and all the necessary things there. The bathroom has a toilet, sink and shower. Although the bathroom is small and cramped up and had a broken shower stand, it was still a very useful bathroom. Size of rooms, comfy bed and equipped bathroom made me wonder why this motel had only one star. The motel is located just outside the motorway which is very practical for those traveling with the ferry to/from Norway and Iceland or visiting nearby city Aalborg. The motel offers a breakfast within the room price. The motel also has a restaurant for dinners. The people running it are very nice and do speak English. The motel has no 24h reception, so check in before closing time (23:00 in our visit). Breakfast serves as early as 7 in weekdays and 8 on Sunday. It was a great stay...
