Stayed at this place for a wedding party. The meals prepared & served from the place restaurant for the party. The first course meal was ordinary. Chicken tartlets. Ok, decorated. Nothing fancy. The server has actually pushed my plate & and ended up with broken & messy tartlets. I borrowed a neighbour plate to take a picture as hers was properly placed. Many didn't think it was delicious. Served 2 small pieces for the hungry guests! Half an hour later, the main course was served. Some braised veggies accompanied by some puree. 2 thin pieces of cold beef fillets & and some fancy named mixed baked slice potatoes & champion sauce. The sauce was half of the serving bowl for 10 guests per table, though an extra sauce serving comes a while later. The dish was a disappointment! Nicely decorated but for low quality for a hotel restaurant! Then comes dessert. 1 scoop of vanille ice cream, not even homemade, the taste is similar to the brand CateDor, which you can buy at the supermarket & creme brulee. It was OK. For late supper, hot dog with red pork sausage. It's so ordinary!
The breakfast served was much better! It's satisfactory. Their half-boiled eggs are still half boiled, satisfying range, but they could ensure that they don't run out of other juices!
They should have more consideration to the food, quantity & taste as recommendations & highly praised from the guests can make the place...
Read moreAfter reading some of the reviews prior to leaving for our break (the hotel was booked for us as we were attending a wedding at the venue) I was expecting the worst. However, it far exceeded expectations. Whilst the room (motel type) was small, it was clean and had surprisingly comfortable beds. The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was basic but not out of the ordinary for any other continental type of breakfast and enjoyable. I was very impressed with the wi-fi speed and the only complaint I have is that when we were there it was VERY hot and there was no type of fan or air con in the room meaning we had to spend a couple of nights with the front door open to get some air circulation.||||All in all, we enjoyed our stay our family had a great wedding. I note people also talk about Denmark costing a lot but equally I think it needs to be balanced with what your expectations are versus what you're prepared to pay. For example 2 beers at a litre each at this hotel cost me just under £10.00 - on holiday I'm fully prepared to pay £5 for a...
Read moreI decided to have a cosy getaway with my fiance and surprise him with thw stay. Called in advance to request a cosy room. Spoke to lasse and thor, lasse could not understand my non Danish accent and thor could and said they would give a cosy room. Emailed to see if we needed to book at the restaurant, got a reply that we do that in check in. Check in and got room that I can't say was cosy, was going to book a table but they had a busy day with different arrangements..|So what, not my problem, ok they could have us at 17:30 but we ended up having dinner in town, buffet with leftover over the day I thought, 20 minutes wait for dinner that they choose not us. Dirty room and hotel/kro. This is not a hotel, rather a cheap motel. But I will say " Thanks Susanne for trying to accommodate us and the service" and to Jørn. Dirty room and hotel, hair in the shower, broken lock and stained red wine glasses down pool room. |I paid 948kr...
