Pros: view (make sure to book ocean view), the service was in general good but also a bit ‘on and off’ depending on the specific staff member. Considering the wine selection, we would expect a proper wine service/ etiquette (which in general seemed off). The dinner menu and wine selection were good. Did not have breakfast (prefer to explore offsite cafés/ restaurants for breakfast).

Cons: acoustics (the concrete balcony walls somehow transmit the sound from other rooms). It gets rather loud and feels like your neighbors are in your room. It is a non-smoking hotel but unfortunately not enforced and our room stunk of smoke from people smoking from their balcony. It is understandable that it is difficult for the staff to enforce this but nevertheless made our stay less pleasurable. The gardener starts working around 7:30 am (at least two of the days we stayed there). We were awakened by a gravel scraping (which again due to the acoustics sounded like the gardener was operating right next to our bed).

Summary: Overall a good experience despite a few hiccups. A bit on the expensive side but the ocean view...

The hotel is the best on Bornholm and they are amazing in helping you on a sunny day and you can use their other hotels facilities but ofcourse you pay for it. But I had one very bad experience when our catamaran ( ferry) got cancelled to Sweden due to storm warning, they were very rigid in keeping my parent in her room and forced us to book an apartment for the rest of the stay. The apartments are not nicely located and in a time of a storm they are very very depressing for someone on a relaxing vacation. That wasn’t a nice ending to our vacation. It’s a one room they could’ve helped us keep it and save us loads of stress. But they have offeret us the rooms again with their beautiful room view for our last night and offered a compensation as an apology for the distress that happened. This is truly sweet of them and have given our stay a nicer ending. Thanks to Vibeke who made our stay so peaceful and relaxing. I would definitely go again and highly recommend it to everyone going to Bornholm. It’s the best hotel...

We spent some wonderful days here, in a large room on the ground floor with a view of the sea and access to a beautiful backyard. Location is excellent, in a quiet place near Rønne, with a bus stop right in front of the hotel and bicycle lanes all around. You can borrow a bicycle from the hotel and explore the area.

Breakfast was really good with a lot of options. Dinner comes with less options, but everything we tried was good.

The only problem we had is that at night it is hard to enjoy the backyard because of mosquitoes. This is not a problem if you sit outside the hotel restaurant, but it becomes one if you go a bit farther on one of the benches...
