This is a comfortable, easy, clean, friendly, relaxed place. The location is excellent for any traveler--you can get anywhere easily by car, by bike, or by bus. (The bus stop is about a ten-minute walk away, as is the dramatically beautiful Paul's Church. The gorgeous, white sand beach is a short bike ride. Bike paths that encircle the island are just down the road. We rented bikes--so easy to do right at Myregaard--from the minute we arrived till the minute we left, and went just about everywhere by bike.) Thomas and Shannon are perfect hosts: friendly and helpful but never intrusive. The room is clean, the bed is comfortable, and the bathrooms (you do have to share!) are impeccable. The old farmhouse has distinctive Danish charm, and there is an adequate kitchen for storing and cooking food, and indoor and outdoor spaces for eating, as well as a garden with hammocks for relaxing. Read moreThis is a classic Danish farmhouse built around a courtyard that has been lovingly and impeccably renovated into an excellent bed and breakfast. Our room was beautiful, spotless, and well appointed. Many, many thoughtful touches. You are really out in the country here. However, you are a short bike ride (and even shorter drive if you have a car) from a gorgeous stretch of the famous Dueodde beach. AND, you are a 30 minute bike ride (and 10 minute drive) from the amazing, stunning, New Nordic restaurant, Kadeau. You are down the road from a medieval church with a rune stone out back, and within reach of other antiquities. If you are planning to visit the southern side of Bornholm, and you'd like to be someplace quiet yet close to things, Myregaard is an awesome choice. We only stayed one night, on a bike tour around the island; I wish we could have stayed longer....
