Nordskoven Strand Camping — Hotel in Bornholms Regionskommune

We enjoyed staying at this great Camp site with the fabulous beach and forest... Henrik and Mette (the owners) make every effort to ensure their guests have a great time. The way the campground has no official plots is excellent since it makes sure that all is having the room they need and that if you travel with more than one family together, you can always stay together. Several enjoyed that highly. So do not worry about not booking a fixed plot. You will find the perfect spot when you arrive.

We tried joining one of their dinner evenings at the shared courtyard - a wonderful experience and good homemade Pizza for a very affordable price. On other evenings they had music and dinner. What a great concept for getting to know others or having a great evening with your travel companions.

I also had the pleasure of having a massage in a quiet corner of the campground looking up in the blue Skye between the trees. What an incredible experience and value for money. And all my troubles in my body were gone for a couple of days. Unfortunately, we did not have time to try all the other outdoor activities - so a revisit is in the pipeline.

I can only recommend this place...

One of the best camping experiences I've ever had. Nordskoven Camping is run by the couple Henrik and Mette who were incredibly nice and inspiring people. Always smiling and helpful and ensuring everyone was having a good time.

Nordskoven Camping is located just a few meters from the loveliest beach and if you are on the island for Folkemøde you'll find it easy to get to Allinge with the shuttlebus just next to it.

The breakfast was simple, but really really good. Two days we had buns with salted cheese and ham and one day tasteful scrambled eggs with pepers, tomatoes and other ingredients. It was served outside, but with the option to sit under a huge tent if the weather wouldnt allow for outdoor eating. In the middle of the area they had a small bonfire to add to the atmosphere.

We were in a tent, but they had loads of other options for different camping styles.

I didn’t get why this campsite is so bad rated. Maybe these are some unfortunately experiences with the campsite manager, but we have a very good stay of 3 nights. The campsite is not very big and it is equipped with an automatic check-in system. You have to watch at the campsite map to get the right areas for your type of equipment (tent, van, and so on...). Otherwise you will be re-directed by the manager to the right areas. Inside the right zones you’re free to chose your place. It is not parceled! Especially the surrounding is great. Lovely forest around, beach 100m away and Rønne city is very close! The kitchen is well equipped. The reason why I rate this place only with 4 stars: the sanitary buildings need an upgrade.
