Hotel & Restaurant Fru Larsen — Hotel in Favrskov Municipality

When ever I get the chance I try to find and excuse to visit Fru Larsen. After working with a trade show all saturday I had arranged to meet my wife and some friends at the Hotel to join me in a gourmet stay.||Every month the menu changes to suit the season and as we are now on the border to Winter I would expect heavy dishes.||We did the full 5 course dinner and added a cheese dish before the dessert. From the gentle start in the Winter Room with Champagne and 4 different tastings to the home made sweets with the coffea we we guided flawleshly through quallity. I alway suggest taking the wine menu with the dinners and this weekend was no exeption - wine and food blended together in the best ever poosible way. Its such a fantastic experience to taste the wine then get the food taste that and then the wine again and observe how they melt together. Could I just for once get to give this place...

Wonderfully quaint hotel, while the rooms were smaller than the places I normally stay, the layout and furnishing made it cozy and comfortable, and there was still enough room for my overlarge suitcase and the table that served as a desk was comfortable to work at. The bed was large and comfortable, and I slept well; the linens were clean and warm.

The breakfasts were excellent, and the morning service was friendly and prompt. The breakfast area felt very welcoming and certainly helped put me in a positive frame of mind to deal with the workday.

We had dinner twice at the Restaurant, and while the menu wasn't varied, the food was extremely good, the dishes creative and tasty. The kitchen was also willing to deviate from the menu to delight of people I dined with.

The staff was wonderfully warm and cheerful, and the chef was very nice.

Came over to Denmark for a friend's 50th birthday and needed a hotel for one night and Fru Larsen was perfect !! Wonderful restaurant with a traditional Danish breakfast but with all beautiful fresh ingredients with everything made fresh at the hotel! Rooms were spacious and comfortable with a wet room shower , only downside which was not a major issue was the pillows were like marshmallow and could have been a little firmer , but other than that the hotel is excellent as are the staff who were very friendly and helpful!!
