Donât necessarily go here for comfort but for atmosphere and service! Fuglsang Manor House has been an oasis of fine art and music from mid 19th century and decades onwards. The grandeur and cultural atmosphere is still there. Guests have access to the saloons of those days, a chance to enjoy the spirit of bourgeois culture and pleasure. ||||Got a small double room in main building with great views to the large garden. Size âsmallâ but OK. Not really manor style decor but absolutely decent. Comfy beds. Shared WC/bathrooms no problem as there are quite many of them and the small sink in the room adds to comfort. Large wardrobe in room so lots of storing space. Not so easy to charge devices as plugs were not abundant but itâs part of the game. Suggestions to improve roomâs practical usability and comfort: Exchange the big wardrobe with something smaller/more modern and remove the old carpet. ||||Very good breakfast served in a basement room, a little dark but quite cosy. Good quality and choices. For the wish list: A wider selection of fresh fruit and better coffee. ||||A walk in the large park/garden can be extended along the narrow path to âSkejtenâ, the adjacent adventurous landscape. Notice the path can be very wetâ Safest (and shortest) way to beautiful Skejten is the path next to the art museum. ||||Top service: Sympathetic, caring and attentive hosts. ||||NB: Would like to suggest TA to correct the spelling of this property from "Mannor" to "Manor" but don't know how to submit...
Read moreWe were on the Berlin-Kopenhagen bike tour and looked for a nice place in or near Nykobing. Well, the "huset i parken" was a bit off. To be precise, it is about 10 km along one of Denmark's very few roads without a bicycle lane :-( Be also prepared for the fact that there are absolutely no shops or dinner places in the vicinity.||But besides that, this laid-back B&B sits in a historical and stunning park area and offers lots of charme and tranquility. The breakfast must have been one of the absolutely best I have had for a very long time! Everything was home-made, yummy, freshly prepared and tastefully decorated. To be sure, our host deserved a gold-medal for that! ||The beds and pillows also were exactly like they should be, especially after a long haul on an unforgiving bike saddle. Unfortunately, our room was not in the charming old building, but in a newer yet architecturally less appealing bungalow. In exchange, it was offering plenty of space and a lovely view of the park. Our son complained a bit about the missing TV set without which however we could easily cope.||There was also interesting locally produced art work and ceramics on display and for sale.||All in all, we can highly recommend the place, as long as you do not mind...
Read moreThe owners are go above and beyond to make sure that you are comfortable and happy. They speak English fluently. The food is amazing. Really, I can't say enough about the food. Lots of scenic walking paths! It's also a cafe during the day, so you can meet lots of locals. The art gallery and gift shop have lots of interesting things. A great place to buy souvenirs. If you need anything or want anything, you can ask where to go. The one down side is that there are raised parts/bumps in the floor (that I never got used to). I tripped every time I left my room. Also it's a shared bathroom if someone else is staying at the same time, but it's not bad at all. I liked it so much that I went back there for my birthday as a present. It is and probably always will be my...
