Hotel Saxkjøbing — Hotel in Guldborgsund Municipality

Easy to find and parking in front of the Hotel.||Historic buildings also with rooms in the back of the main building, which seems recently restored.||The room: Okay comfortable bed. No AC. No coffee facilities, no fridge, noice from the outside restaurant in the yard. Water, juice and wine in the room. Rather small TV. Two singlebeds pushed together,No channels installed, and when asked for assistance after trying myself- nothing.|Good free WiFi.||Confused receptionist at check in , that didn’t inform about anything. She actually seamed nervous, when I implied that I intended to have dinner. Later on during dinner in the yard, she actually spread extremely good karma and made customers feel at home.||She’s a keeper!||Dinner: got a great table (due to cancellation) 202. Outside seating. Great menu. Service good and somewhat attentive. Small hiccup’s like missing cutlery, approving of wine, lack of water.||Great bread on the side. However bland/ boring aioli on the side. Fantastic Tatar as starter.|Main were the lamb with all the trimmings. Tasty and tender, and the best lamb for a long time! A lot of exiting sides, but what goes with what..||Extensive tempting wine list. I kept to a glass of Rhône. Unfortunately it was a terrible stay and completely unacceptable service level. We were a family of 10 (4 rooms) and 2 of our rooms were placed just above one of the hotel venues which had a massive party that evening playing loud music until 2am. Impossible to sleep given you could hear everything. We complained to the staff who said they wouldn’t do anything and would not even ask them to turn down the music so we had to go inside to tell the people at the party ourselves. ||In the morning we told the receptionist what had happened and asked why they didn’t arrange for the actual party guests to stay in the rooms above and there was zero apology other than “we did the best we could and we did try to put the guests up in the rooms above”. Which is a complete lie as many of the party guests checked in after us, and there are only 4 rooms above the venue space - our family had been put in 2 of them! ||When a second family member complained to the receptionist the answer was “you could have said you wanted the rooms together in a different part of the hotel”.
