This 1810 beach hotel has gone undergone a thorough renovation. It is maybe more of a bed and breakfast place operated by its owners - a very pleasant and openminded couple. They add a very personal touch to the place, and we felt like home from the first minute there. The room was large with very comfortable beds - hence the sleep quality was outstanding. We spent two nights at the hotel, and their breakfast was superior and second to none! The owners has restored and refurbished the hotel themselves, and they have done a fine job. The floor in the dining room was impressive. The art is another story, with numerous paintings of the well known Danish painter, Arne Haugen Sørensen, you are practically eating breakfast in a gallery. Read moreStaying at Danish Kro while on vacation is always a treat, although too many of them nowadays seems more like a standard hotel than a kro. This is not the case here. The kro is quite old, family run with just a few rooms. Clean and tidy rooms, although it seems that the furniture is a result of more than a few visits to secondhand shops. just accept that, and you'll have a good time. Staff is very friendly, doing the best they can to help you. We told them needed gluten free bread for breakfast, and next morning they had baked that for us. No destination charging available yet, and a bit tricky to get your car charged in the area, since there are no AC or DC stations...
