Questionable quality for a very expensive 4 stars hotel. Positives: surrounding nature Thermal baths Rooms have signature toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash etc) which are good quality. Parking right in front if the hotel If you want to enjoy the baths and a refreshing walk in the forest, I would suggest booking for one day. It is more than enough. waiting staff at the restaurant were very pleasant
Negatives: The hotel feels like a 2 (generously I would say 3) stars hotel disguised under the pretense of a luxury hotel. We booked the “cheapest”package for 3 nights with breakfast and dinner included. The price was 8250 kr (around 1100 euros). Rooms are quite small and crammed. Bathroom is incredibly small with no place to put your toiletries. No minifridge, no minibar. Small bed with low quality mattress. Let’s just say comfort is not a priority. Doors are not insulated and can hear everything that happens on the hallway. Same with the bathroom door - we had a sliding door with a clear 1 cm gap when closed. Wifi is unsecured and does not really work. For a 4 star hotel, this is a big no no. Some of the food is pretentious, but misses the mark. It wants to be a luxury restaurant with fancy food but somehow misses the mark. The food is ok, not great. I will never say I was impressed by it. Breakfast has a good selection of food, however there is no option for a capuccino or caffe latte or anything like that. You only get filter coffee included, which I think -again- is not 4-star quality. I booked a massage which I was looking forward to only to be disappointed. The masseur seemed like she had no idea what she was doing and it felt amateur. I asked her to go a bit harder on my lower back and she replied with “that’s not my style”. Also, the price is incredibly high for a massage, but this is the style of the hotel. Unjustified prices, questionable quality. All in all, I would not recommend this hotel for a stay, but rather for a one day trip to enjoy the thermal baths and the refreshing air. We were obviously quite disappointed with the cost-quality and expected much more. But hey-ho, at least now we know. Never...
Read moreOur recent stay at Hotel Vejlefjord was truly wonderful.||We were thrilled to find a reasonably priced offer (3,370 DKK for the Summer Break package) that included access to the incredible spa area. We jokingly called it an “adult water park” because we kept moving from pool to pool, thoroughly enjoying every moment.||The hotel itself is a stunning historic building with plenty of cozy nooks for conversation and relaxation. Although the weather was rainy during our visit, we could imagine how lovely it would be to sit out on the balcony with a drink, chatting while taking in the breathtaking views of the ocean or the hotel grounds.||This was our third time staying at Hotel Vejlefjord, and once again, it lived up to our expectations. We opted for a room with a queen-size bed this time, but in hindsight, we should have spent the extra 400 DKK for the king-size option—turns out we’re officially too old for queen-size beds!||The room itself was small but had everything we needed. We didn’t spend much time there anyway, as we were either unwinding in the spa or exploring the beautiful park and beach nearby.||The stay also included a delicious 3-course dinner. While we're not big fans of fish, we appreciated that the chef’s preselected menu included alternative options.||Breakfast offered a wide selection to suit most preferences, although we did miss the pancakes we remembered from our previous visit.||The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, especially when they cleared up some confusion we had with the digital room folder. It had listed the spa opening time as 9 a.m., but we were pleased to learn that we could actually head down from 7 a.m., even if some pools weren’t heated until later.||All in all, it was a perfect stay. We’ve already agreed that this needs to become a yearly tradition—and we can’t...
Read moreFirst impression was „wow“. To book the room we wanted (sea view), was online not possible (no English translation available). So we had a room directly above the delivery zone. HORRIBLE is the best description for what we experienced for two nights. As of 00:00 h til 02:30 h at night hotel staff removed all empty glas bottles under our window. At 05:45 h in the morning, the first delivery truck with new beverage goods arrived. Complaining results in „no other room available“. Booking the „anti-Stress-3 in one massage“ in the spa means a full body massage (80 minutes) without hands and feets 😳?? Scrub was done in 10 minutes, massage done in app. 30 minutes the rest of time was spend for face treatment, really?? O.K. We thought of sauna … forget about quite zone, it was more a discussion party for 4 old danish ladies, fully involved in noisy discussing… pool? What a pity, app. 15 young man (sales team) spend their time in the pool, surrounded by their empty and full beer glasses. At least, breakfast: the coffee was so horrible that even with a lot of milk the coffee turns green. Our conclusion: Never ever again! For you: do not accept the rooms 125,...
