This B&B is a very well maintained farmstead with wonderful hosts. We arrived late due to the ferry and were welcomed as old friends. The grounds are wonderfully landscaped with gardens, glass houses, and paved pathways.||||The rooms are very spacious. Our room had a sitting area with a sectional sofa, coffee table and flat panel television. The beds were very comfortable, clean, and well appointed. Unfortunately, as is in most Scandinavian B&B's, Hotels, and Motels --- the pillows are flat and uncomfortable. There were no additional pillows in the room, and because we arrived late, did not want to bother our hosts. But I am sure that had we asked, would have been immediately supplied with what we needed. Our fault.||||The bathroom was large, clean, well decorated, with a walk-in shower. The decor here just makes you feel good --- Whitewashed walls with touches of lime green towels, shower curtain, and pictures.||||The walls are decorated with "fun" art and there are other fanciful art objects around the area.||||We were offered a hot drink and cookie upon our arrival and were served in our room.||||We also had breakfast in the morning --- an excellent Danish breakfast served in a peaceful dining room overlooking the gardens! The food was plentiful, delicious, and well presented.||||We loved this place and highly recommend it to anyone passing through, or...
Read moreCaféhaven is integrally part of rural Denmark, an area that was historically important. If you use your imagination, you can see the old farmhouse in today’s very modern, clean and hospitable B & B.|| When we arrived, Annett and Neils welcomed us with coffee, … and with camembert and a rosehip relish on rye bread. Like most of the food at breakfast, the cheese and the relish were made in the Borglum area by local people. Annette, who is a consummate gardener, adds seasonal fruits – for us it was raspberries and plums. And I’m guessing that she made the bread.|| Our room was large, with comfortable beds, a lounge set in front of a modern television set, and extended to an outside courtyard with table and chairs, and beautiful plants. || Never obtrusive, Annett and Neils were always ready to help, offer advice. They are lovely and friendly people, we had a very comfortable stay with them, many conversations, and we left with expanded insights into Danish...
Read moreWe spent 5 nights here in a very rainy July 2015. The B&B is located just down the road from Berglum Kloster more or less by itself (bar a pig growing operation across the street). The room was spacious, stylish and well-appointed. So was the rest of the place. The highlight clearly is the very nice garden. It is quite extensive and has a number of glass houses which preserve the heat and make even a terrible Danish 'Summer' day bearable. We'd like to also positively mention the breakfast buffet, small but with variety and always fresh. The only downside was the occasional olfactory note from the pig...
