Based on a VERY pleasant experience, I have decided to take the time to offer my feedback of my stay at Nørre Vosborg.||My reason for being at Nørre Vosborg was as a facilitator of a business critical process, and as such I experienced both the conference facilities and the hotel/accommodation facilities of Nørre Vosborg.||Conference:|Although I was not part of the practical arrangements i was on CC of most of the correspondence and what I have witnessed is a professional approach to arranging business meetings, a strong proactive drive in suggesting and deciding an actions relevant for me as a facilitator and a flexibility that have made it very easy for me to deliver what was expected of me. The ability to adjust according to our agenda was imminent and delivered with ease and at no point I felt that I was “difficult”.|The venue as such is simply the most impressive workshop venue I have ever used. LARGE room with an outstanding acoustics in original and buildings, that has been renovated with an extreme standard of quality and aestethics. WOW… AV facilities worked with no glitches and a very high quality.||Hotel and rooms:|If you want to see Scandinavian design and architecture, this is the place… everything from doorhandles to room TV and furniture has been carefully selected and have been put into a building that displays Scandinavian minimalism with a high degree of confidence… WOW…. Where else will you se a +100meter long building blend in with a classical estate in a rural surroundings… it is so classy, that just being there will build a positive atmosphere… I am still blown away.||Food and beverages:|Delicate fine cuisine with no fancypants but “just” quality in everything from the selection of raw produce over cooking to the servings… delicate home baked bread, exquisite butter, fresh fish and organic meat with fresh vegetables…. Wow wow and WOW||So… I offer my full recommendation… even the things that could typically be a challenge of not placing a venue like this close to an airport/major city hub are a major plus: you have quiet surroundings and magnificent views and outdoor possibilities that I have not met in any other venue, that...
Read moreFirst experience: Had booked the nice sounding upper-level suite in the old villa at Nørre Vosborg. Getting up the steep stairs we certainly found a lot of space, but in strange and barren arrangement. You really had to mind your head and watch your step. ||After a long walk in the idyllic but not very well-kept grounds we went to have dinner, and here everything worked out quite nicely, delicious food, wine and attentive and friendly staff||Breakfast next morning was more a DIY affair with buffet especially for getting some tea. ||Second experience. Thinking that we just had to get one of modern room with balcony to have a perfect experience we booked a room in the new building a month later. Got a nice but rather hot room. To leave the balcony door open in secure open position was impossible as the mechanism had been bent out of shape. Still, it was nice in sun with two G&T’s (you have to balance them yourself to the room of course).||Alas, dinner this time turned out to be a serious let-down. Arriving at early in an only half full restaurant, we had to wait a long time to order and this became the standard for the evening. The simple the three-course dinner was served with annoying long delays, and in some cases, it was of less than excellent quality. Gourmet is something more.||Breakfast next morning was okay, but again tea was tedious DIY affair? Getting the attention of one of the not very attentive waiters helped us locate a really hot water tap dangerously high on a wall in a dark corner. Several people went through the same ritual, twice having to get the attention of a waiter. It is certainly recommended that restaurant is brought up to speed to avoid the hit or miss experience||The strange let-down in a place that pride itself of its quality and engagement perhaps indicate a place relying too much on its uniqueness, having no...
Read moreSuper nice location. Quite a distance away from the road so absolutely silent.
Beds: ok, we slept well. Medium soft. Water in shower: good pressure, immediately hot.
For the very hot days: no airco, no fan. Opening windows yes, but no mosquito net: on your own risk.
Breakfast: good, could have given a bit more explanation (esp. with regards to coffee).
No boiled eggs, asked for them, got them, but needed some arguing ... what place does not offer boiled eggs at breakfast?
Restaurant: ok'ish. The NV Tasting you find on Google maps and that pretends to offer fine dining is apparently not operational (it was kind if the reason I selected the place). Should have called upfront. So beware.
Food was ok but not spectacular. Can't see me eating here two nights in a row.
Serving staff are young and enthusiastic. They would be perfect with some additional training and attention to detail. And a pen and paper or a POS to get your order right from the first time.
You need to ask for room cleaning (we did not which leads to the coffee capsules not being replenished. Asked for new ones at the reception ... but they were clueless. So mo coffee at wake up the second day.
There's also no bottled water offered in the room ... a clear minus, what hotel does not welcome their guests with at least water in the room.
No refrigerator in the room either. So can't buy any local stuff that requires refrigeration.
No safe either to store valuables.
No possibility to use apps (Netflix, youtube) or cast content to the television.
We had the junior suite. Honestly would avoid them as they are in the old part of the estate. They are just bigger rooms, nothing special at all. If there ever will be a next time, we'd just take a normal room in the new build part.
2 stars overall, mainly for details. Should be 2.5 (50%) but that is...
