We rented one of the cabins you see on the picture. Cabins were O.K. but they could use some maintenance. When we arrived there were spider webs everywhere and the windows were really dirty. Did not seem like anyone had taken the time to prepare the cabin any more than the previous guest cleanout. We did a little cleaning and ignored that, but it would have been nice. There was also some old scaffolding behind the cabin. Kids could climb in it and that could be dangerous. All of the cabins most north on the camping site is surrounded by huge trees on 3 sides. This means that there is no sun after 2 p.m. (14:00) The trees also makes for an enclosed and dark feeling all over. That put aside, the facilities were nice with a lot of play-opportunities for the kids. It is located close to Horsens town and has a beach just outside the camping area. But this beach is also used by Horsens citizens, it's a public beach and on hot days the beach is cramped with people from Horsens.||||Some days the cleaning of the toilets had not been done in the morning when I went to brush my teeth, this is not good. The toilets and the other facilities should be cleaned early in the morning. In that way even the early riser of guests will have a nice and clean morning.||||The staff was not very welcoming and friendly, I don't mean to say they were bad or rude, but they did not meet us in a personal way nor seemed to care much about if everything was ok for us as guests. They never asked if we needed anything. We experienced a friendly staff, but impersonal service. I did not get the feeling of being welcome and taken care of. I miss that. I have had that in other camping sites in Denmark, and good service can make up for other negatives like cob webs in the capin etc..||||The place is very nice, has very much of what one could ask for and expect from a camping site (physical things). But lacks the intangible things such as cosiness, friendliness, welcoming smile and atmosphere. We where left on our own and to our selves. Maybe it was a busy time of the year and that was the reason, I can't say.||||We visited...

Read moreWe, a family of five (three kids from 1,5 to 6 years), spent a couple of days here during our summer vacation this year. A very nice camping site: clean, organized and well kept. A paradise for the kids with a great playground, mini football pitch, indoors play area, swimming pool and moon-buggeys. There are also a lot of organized activites for the kids: creative corner, football, clown show etc. A beautiful sandy beach on the fiord is just at the entrance of the camping site. It has a pier if you want to get out into a bit deeper water for swimming. A walking/running circuit of 8,5 km ("Hjertestien") runs just past the camping and is an excellent opportunity for a walk/run or a bicycle trip. Bicycles can be rented for free on the premises, including one with a child seat. It is also possible to rent kayaks and stand up paddle boars (SUPs). A perfect place to spend time as a family...
