If you are visiting the Aalborg/Skagen area, then don't go past this place run by artist Janne who grew up locally and lived in Austria.||The bed and breakfast accommodation is newly built and features extensive and fabulous art work by Janne.||We were right at home at this place. Janne is an excellent host and gave us an awesome welcome and looks after all our needs during the stay including booking restaurants that she knew to be excellent.||Genuinely warm and friendly, her creativity is sprinkled throughout the property with each room furnished tastefully and decorated with her own artwork.||Great place to base yourself when visiting Jammerbugten area. I was recently in Kunstart20 and I have to say that it was one of the best travel experiences I ever had. The accomodation is in a very beautiful place near to Saltum Beach, near 15 minutes in a pleasant bike ride, and is an excellent place to relax and feel like home. The rooms are wonderful, spacious, comfortable and decorated so beautifuly. Our room was the green one, and it had a nice terrace with two chairs and a table. The common spaces are also enjoyable, and there is a fridge available for customers. A superbe breakfast is offered every morning in a pleasant dining room, with local products of high quality. Finally, the owner (Janne) is a wonderful modern art artist and she has her workplace open to all the guests, where you can admire her paintings and ask her everything about them. We stayed at Janne’s B&B/Gallery for three nights, and would be happy to return. |The buildings are completely new, designed and decorated with great care to detail. Everywhere you are struck by the brightness of the interior space and the cheerful modern art (painted by Janne) decorating every wall. |The owner’s attentiveness to the needs of her guests was remarkable: From the lavish breakfast buffet and your eggs cooked to order, to suggestions regarding excursions and activities in the region, the availability of bicycles, the coffee available all day, and the glass of wine offered in the evening. |Granted, as a B&B this place is a bit more expensive than most alternatives in the category.
