Birkende Bed And Breakfast — Hotel in Kerteminde Kommune

We arrived late, coming in from Northern Denmark and were pleased that we were able to easily find the B & B. With the restaurants all closing at 20:00, we dropped our things, then headed out to find food, not an easy undertaking. Prior to our hunt for dinner, we noticed that the room we were given did not match the booking --- "a wooden house with private bath and private terrace." No worries, our hosts said they would see to the error upon our return.||||We got back in around 21:00 and were so tired, we did not want to have to move things. No problem, we could stay in our present room --- a private room in an apartment with a shared bath.||||The room was very clean and beds were comfortable. The room was average size with a small flat screen TV on the wall. there were two nightstands by each bed, and a table with two chairs. Our room overlooked the side yard --- and was quiet.||||The apartment had a kitchen with a table to seat four, a coffeemaker, and dishes. I can not say how well equipped it was, since we didn't use it for anything more than making hot tea.||||There is an ante room between the shower and the toilet room, but there is no way to lock this door, leaving the toilet room available if someone happened to be in the shower. This is a clean and simple B&B with reasonable prices compared to other Danish accomodations. We were welcomed very warm and friendly, arriving late without any reservation, and we got a little discount. It's located in a very quiet place.||||The room in the lovely old building was clean and basic, the beds were ok. We stayed here for one night and it was a pleasant experience. We had a litte cottage to ourselves that was well furbished. It had a kitchen area as well as a large bedroom and a clean shower room. WIFI and Internet connection were excellent. The hosts were friendly, they spoke good English and made an effort to see we had a pleasant stay.
