Femø Kro & Feriecenter — Hotel in Lolland Municipality

Review of the inn's food and ambience as I did not stay the night. Amazing is the word to sum it up. Was given a warm welcome by Pia on arrival and told we didn't have to lock our bikes...hey this is Femooo, of course. We started our lunch with a pint of Tuborg Green and a plate of chips and a salmon & prawn cocktail. Very fresh and tasty. Then followed an enormous vegan plate of fried veggies with rice, falafel and onion rings. Outstandingly tasty, and the best vegetarian plate I have had in my three years plus of Danish adventures. My pal had the plaice and new potatoes with parsley sauce, which was also extremely good and very generous portion sizes all round. The location is lovely, the island superb and I nearly didn't write this review for fear of too many people arriving en masse to enjoy the same. Had it not been for the fact that th Inn is almost the only place to stay at Femo. The fact that the surroundings and scenic views are fantastic and for the fact that I was there as part of a 5 guys "boys away from home trip" then this place would have been closer to Terrible than to Average. ||The only reason also why I end up in "average" instead of "poor" is because I am personally a sucker for crazy local places with no regards to the "established" standards||Clearly the rooms are not up to date. The place/buildings need a brush up. The food was of very low quality. The best you can say about the staff was that they are local ||Strange local place but VERY DANISH (I know, being a Dane myself)||You can do it - you can laugh about it, but dont expect anything near to normal...

I cannot recommend this place. We had a prepaid reservation of hotel, bikes and dinner and breakfast for 2 nights paying more than 2000kr. On the Day we are suppose to arrive i get ill with headache, nausia and fewer. I try to get some rest to recover, but it only gets worse. Given the corona-situation we don’t want to take any risks. We call the hotel to ask if we can change the dates. They tell us that we have lost our money. We ask them, if they cannot at least refund the bikes and food we have not consumed. They refuses to even listen and show no care, consideration or understanding for our situation.
