This is a very nice cosy, homely hotel with a friendly owner who gives you a warm welcome.||||The rooms are basic but nice and clean. I had a room with a shared bathroom. The bathroom was large and clean. ||||The room had no TV but that was OK because it is also nice to sit in a nice lounge with a good glass of wine and talk to other people. There is a special TV room with a large flat screen TV so if you want you can watch anyway. ||||Free Wifi internet did not work well in my room (low speed) but was OK in the lounge/dining area ||(approx. 700kB/s download speed)||||Breakfast is an additional DK 60,- but was well worth the price. You get a nice selection of tasty food on the table and cornflakes, muesli and yoghurt are on a buffet table.||||The village itself is small with nothing going on so you better relax on the grounds of the hotel. Or go to the somewhat larger Maribo |||| All-in all well worth the short detour from the main road between Copenhagen and...
Read moreWe stayed at this lovely hotel just outside of Maribo where you have the countryside right outside your window. We were three who stayed there, me, my wife and our 1 year old boy. We all had a great time, not least our child that had a lot to do driving the toy cars and bicycles and the backyard, where he was also allowed to write with a chalk on the pavement. The backyard is also a place to relax enjoy the sun or a quiet evening with a glass of wine. In the yard in front of the hotel is a trampoline on a grass plane that was a big hit for the little one as well. The thing we loved the most about the hotel was the warmth and coziness and the service we got. This hotel is not like others we´ve stayed at. We felt very much like home. The food is great, rooms are clean and very comfortable...
Read moreHotel Lolland is a boutique type of hotel with a lot of warmth to it in a small town on the island of Lolland. Baldvin, the owner, greeted us upon arrival like long lost friends which set the tone for our one-night stay. The hotel was a retirement home previously and our room was very spacious and filled with antiques and paintings. In fact, the whole hotel was tastefully decorated with antiques and paintings. The basic breakfast which was included in the room price was served at the table instead of buffet style, giving it more of a B&B feeling. We didn't have time to explore the grounds unfortunately, but what we saw through the window was lovely. We will definitely stay here again if we ever come back to Lolland and can highly recommend...
