We had the pleasure of doing an installation for a new client in the area, and therefore stayed two nights at Falken, the closest hotel. That was a bummer! The rooms although seemingly clean had an odor of a disinfectant, that made me speculate ... It was warn down, the bed was awful, there were no outlets for charging (I mean ...??), so I had to crawl underneath furniture, outlets were hanging from the wall, with accessible wires (that's illegal!!) , the faucet wasn't decalcified for some years (water is quite soft in that area, so probably not since it was installed 15 years ago), so didn't really serve it's purpose, the shower was not shielded, hence the toilet paper drowned, and so on and on .. The breakfast buffet was - let's be positive - modest, with poor wheat bread, okay rye bread, and cheese, poor cold cuts, and modest vegetables. The serials commercial, and coffee drinkable. In total: On the bright side the water was boiling hot, so after five minutes of adjustments,
In all fairness the concierge was fully aware of the state of this section of rooms and told us, "a budget for full-scale renovation was in the process of...
Read moreHad three nights here for about a week ago. Our first impression wasn't that good - It doesn´t look that welcoming. The surroundings where boooring and it didn't look that up-to-date as it acctually was. I was surprised that the room was so fresh so they have put the money in the rooms instead rather than on the outside- Not that the room was luxurious but it was a - small -, clean, fresh, nice room with a fresh bathroom. We just needed a place to sleep while we daytime were enjoying Legoland, Lalandia and Givskud Zoo. (It was further from these places than we had counted on but that was our own fault - should have checked that up before, of course :) Probably more perfect if one want to check out the north of Jylland. Back to the hotel!) ||||Very good breakfast - that dark bread was delicious mmmm - and the buffé at night was good as well. ||||The bed we shared (two adults) where only 140cm and that is almost too small for us considering I'm far from a size 0 but it was comfortable and sheets soft. ||||The staf was friendly and helpful and the small puppy was adorable. ||||The place has a small swimmingpool with a bit too cold water and the facilities where good there aswell.. ||||All in all we were very satisfied...
Read moreOur stay at this 'motel' began when the hotel declared it didn't have the extra bed we had booked for our room and Expedia ( I'd booked through them) declared it was nothing to do with them ( we then had to pay double - for two rooms). The hotel is conveniently located in a pleasant small town but rooms are small, bathrooms so tiny a large person couldn't get into one, showers half broken, TVs not working properly and food extremely average. Even the shampoo provided is dreadful.||The swimming pool is too cold to get into - let alone swim in - and the rooms are noisy.Reception staff are surly, to say the least, but dining room staff a little more helpful.||Is there a positive? The beds are comfy and, if you aren't woken up by a car pulling up under your window, you might...
