The best part about this hotel is the location. Its right on the square with easy access to everything and parking is easy in the back. We booked the suite and were excited to relax here for a couple of nights after spending 2 weeks traveling around. We arrived just after noon and stood around for a while waiting for someone to help us. Then I finally knocked on the kitchen door and they sent someone out. A younger guy who spoke English seemed friendly enough but then an older women who didn't seem to speak English growled something at him and he said sorry, no check-ins until after 2, the rooms aren't ready. I said "you don't even check to see what room I'm in - maybe it is ready" and he responded "she said come back after 2". Then when we finally did come back later in the afternoon check in was simple enough but not very friendly.||||The suite is pretty big with two nice couches and a big tv but other than that it was all very dated and not maitained very well. The windows frames are unpainted in spots and they don't close tight. The jacuzzi tub had a short in it so it would only stay on for about 3 seconds. It finally worked and stayed on for 10 minutes then had to keep pushing the button again for about 5 minutes before it stayed on again for another 10. Very frustrating. ||||Breakfast was also a disappointment. Nothing warm. The only eggs were hard boiled, which is the norm for the location but every other hotel I stayed at durring a two week trip had scrambled eggs and either sausage or bacon or both. ||||Getting to our room was also a little strange. We had to go to the building next door and go up some very narrow steps which isn't a problem without luggage but was hard to manage with luggage.||||We also didn't like that coming from the parking you have to walk through a small alleyway where the guest and staff are smoking. After doing that a couple times we had to start walking around the hotel and going in a different entrance.||||We enjoyed the town and surrounding but wouldn't stay here...
Read moreThe hotel is located in town & in the weekend there are free parking places & electric station for electronic cars. It's an old hotel but clean, renovated & not falling apart. Bedroom & bathroom are spacious for 3 people. There is a foldable bed for kid/extra person & relax as a sofa-bed. The TV is large & there are lots of streaming apps to enjoy & relax in the evenings after dinner. Comfortable beds & bedding. Absolutely nothing to complain about those. Service is fantastic too. The service people are warm & courteous. They have quite a standard range for breakfast & ok. The dinner area is romantic, cozy & elegant. The only complaint & unsatisfactory are the food for dinner. They are limited selection & very expensive. It's OK to pay for an expensive dinner if it's delicious. Unfortunately the bearnaise sauce & steak I experienced wasn't. For 200gr steak, potatoes gratin, 3 pieces of asparagus, baked sour tomatoes, homemade onion rings & homemade bearnsise sauce for kr349. They didn't even asked how you would like your steak. The only yummy on the plate is the steak though small, rather overly done & sauce, the rest is a waste of money though beautiful decorated. My son ordered fish & it was rather tasteless. We/I stay there again for the location, service & room but definitely not for dinner. The price is too expensive for an...
Read moreWe decided for a road trip through Denmark from Göteborg for our first week of summer vacations. We took the summer offer from Danske Hoteller, drive and stay, which gave access to "discounted" price for at least 3 nights in a row including dinner and breakfast. Second stop on our road trip, Ringkobing Hotel.||I booked a small suite and we got a very nice renovated room and bathroom, with sofa, in a building nearby the hotel.||The dinner room was full of couples and group of friends. It was interesting to notice that most, if not all, were probably above 60years of age. The deal unfortunately did not allow us to chose the dinner, and therefore we had to cope with a very similar dinner than the day before in Hjallerup. The chef was able to adapt a last minute change due to our food restrictions which we did not manage to send to the hotel before.||The village is very nice and clean. The hotel itself is an historic building, it is charming. The room was super comfortable and felt newly renovated.||The breakfast buffet was huge, the diversity of it able to fulfil probably any kind of needs. The quality of the food was very good.||The personnel was very friendly and professional. We keep very good memory of a...
