Sørup — Hotel in Ringsted Municipality

Decided to book based on reviews on google and booking.com. Had really been looking forward to this. Lovely surroundings and polite staff. Not much else ☹️ The dinner was AWFUL. We ordered a miniferie (2 nights with breakfast and 2 x 2-course dinner) We ended up leaving our meals the first evening and driving into Ringsted to eat. Waited well over a hour and a half for any food at dinner. Vegetarbøf was inedible. My son ordered kids lasagne which was burnt hard on top and extremely small (even for a kid portion) and served with a really large tub of ketchup on the plate(🤷?). Adressed the problem to the waiter who was very nice said They were very busy and if there was anything he could do. Were too hungry to wait for something else when the quality was so horrible and the waiting time so long. Three other tables in the same room also had complaints to him about the waiting time and food while we were sitting there. Felt a bit bad for him. Breakfast was sub-standard buffet. Definitely NOT the quality you expect when seeing the website. Took what we thought was nice warm bread. Tasted like someone had spilt a huge amount of salt in the dough. Old rye bread. Spoke to other guests outside the restaurant who also were extremely dissapointed with the quality og dinner and breakfast and had also adressed the problem to the staff/reception.||||Had booked a room with a double bed and "to opredninger" (two separte beds for the kids) which we confirmed during our booking. The room had a double bed and an extremely uncomfortable and hard small (halvanden mands ) pull-out sofa. Could feel bars of pull-out under our backs. Only one window opened. Slept terribly☹️ Ate at a restaurant in Ringsted the second evening and checked out early. Seemed generally understaffed.||||Adressed problems to reception and staff who were polite and apologetic but didn't seem to be able to do much. Really wanted to love this place but so incredibly...

Upon arrival I was disappointed by the state of the room I was given. Everything looks and feels so tired and worn, even the paint on the walls seems overdue for a refresher.||||The first night I booked a table at the restaurant at the reception and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meal I ate there - it was excellent. The next day I was surprised to learn that as a staying guest you are not necessarily guaranteed a table at the restaurant. They simply couldn't accommodate me that evening. ||Why wasn't I told this could be an issue the first night, then I could at least have made reservations in advance or found an alternative place to dine. Now I sit here, at a four star hotel, writing this review, instead of having dinner, and when I finish this I have no choice but to drive into town for a pizza, all the while wondering if I should just go ahead and find another hotel near by for the last night of my stay in Ringsted. Das Hotel ist sehr schön gelegen, zentral auf der Insel Seeland und wunderbar in der Natur. Der See ist sehr entspannend. Und die Freizeitausstattung ist umfangreich. Es gibt ein Schwimmbad, eine Minigolfbahn, einen Billard und Dart Raum.

Für Zöliakie-Erkrankte gibt es zum Frühstück einen eigenen Brotkorb mit Brötchen und Knäckebrot. Butter, Nutella und Honig sind einzeln abgepackt, eine Kreuzkontamination sind dadurch eher ausgeschlossen. Zusätzlich gab es ein umfangreiches Frühstücksbuffett mit Wurst, Käse, Obst und Joghurts, Würsten und Ei sowie Kornflakes.

Die Unterkünfte sind in einem alten Hof untergebracht, welcher dem Hotel ein sehr edles Auftreten bietet. Von Nachteil sind allerdings die Lampen am Innenhof, welche die ganze Nacht über leuchten. Das Licht wird von den eher teildurchlässigen Gardienen im Schlafraum nicht abgehalten und es kommt nie eine wirkliche Dunkelheit zu Stande. Dabei sind die Unterkünfte bauartsbedingt sehr hellhörig und man hört, wenn im selben Eingang (4 Zimmer pro Eingang) jemand hereinkommt und gerade in der oberen Etage sich bewegt.

Die Ausstattung im Billard und Dart Raum hat ihre beste Zeit schon lange hinter sich. Dies kann entweder am Alter oder am Umgang seitens der Gäste liegen. Der Billard-Tisch hatte viele Löcher im Teppich, die Kugeln hatten Schäden und eine volle rote Kugel fehlte. Stattdessen haben wir eine zweite 7 genommen. Die Darts haben zum Teil leider ihre Leitfedern verloren, was an den abgebrochenen Halterungen lag. Man kann dort seinen Spaß haben. Wenn man jedoch neueres gewöhnt ist, dann sieht man das vielleicht anders.

Der größte Kritikpunkt war hingegen, dass es am Wochenende sehr schwer war zu schlafen. Anstatt die offensichtliche Ruhe zu genießen fühlte man sich stets wie in einer Disco. Sowohl am Freitag als auch am Samstag fanden im Rezeptionsgebäude Feierlichkeiten statt. Während die eine verhältnismäßig dezente laute Musik spielte waren auf der Samstagsfeier die Techno-Liebhaber unterwegs und haben nachts um 03:00 Uhr die Bässe so weit aufgedreht, dass der ein oder andere Gast aufwachte. Doch trotz eines Aufsuchens der Rezeption wurde diese Ruhestörung nicht behoben. Als Antwort kam, dass es nunmal eine Party sei und die auch nur noch eine halbe Stunde andauere. Gegen 04:30 Uhr verstummten die Bässe endlich, an eine erholsame Nacht im Urlaub war jedoch nicht mehr zu denken.

Ein Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel ist deshalb nur von Sonntag bis Freitag zu empfehlen. Ansonsten kann es zu Feierlichkeiten und damit zu unruhigen Nächten führen.
