Stayed here for a short sleepover on the way to Germany. I did read some reviews before I arrived, so I didn't have high expectations.||First of all: I booked this stay via Best Western. That part went smooth, but I was a bit surprised when I received an e-mail directly from the hotel about checking in online - and being charged 6 DKK for doing so. Granted, not a big amount by any means, but Best Western didn't say anything about this at the the time of booking. I did pay the amount and I was then expecting to receive an SMS containing PIN codes for both the entrance door and the room itself. No message was received an hour after online check-in, so I decided to call them instead (note: the reception is only open between 15:00 and 18:00). The ladies on the phone were very helpful, and they provided me with the requires PIN codes.||Locating the hotel - in the dark after midnight - was actually difficult. There was a sign leading to the hotel area, but as the streets were not lit, and the area seems to be a combination of both residential and industrial, it was difficult to find the physical entrance and the area was dead silent and actually a bit creepy (subjective of course). Both the hotel and the area sure looked a lot better during the daylight!||The PIN codes were correct and I managed to enter my room without any hassle. The room standard (superior) was fine, actually better than many other hotels I've stayed at in Denmark. It's an old building, so the floors are making a lot of noise, but the room was perfectly fine - it was clean, had good beds and a very modern ventilated bathroom with a good shower (with enough water!). There did not seem to be any ventilation in the rest of the room, so I simply opened the window at night. If the outside temperatures go over 25 degrees I do expect that this room will become hot!||I had a good night's sleep and tried the breakfast. It was quite basic but good. Good coffee too.||Check-out must be done online (which is strange, since there was a paper on the reception desk where we were supposed to write our room number when leaving).||Summary: I would not categorize this as a "bad" hotel, it delivers as expected for a 3-star hotel, but the experience could certainly be improved:||1) The online check-in process simply MUST work. You can't rely on guests having to call to get the required PIN codes, especially during late evenings. Needless to say: Guests should NOT have to pay an extra fee to check- in online!!!||2) More signs - and lights - are needed to guide arriving guests to the hotel.||3) If the check-in process is 100% digital, so should the check-out process be too.||Would I stay here...
Read more||Well, what should I say about this joint? I don't even know where to start. A disaster from the cold welcome to the missing good bye. 😕||The facts:|Remote, ghost like surroundings|Old worn building |Even older looking interior, carpets etc. stained both in the hallways and room. |No ventilation, even with windows opened max we could hardly breathe. |The floor in our room squealed like crazy. |Water boiler in room (one cup was not cleaned and had stains and lipstick on it) 😖|Very basic breakfast, in addition they kept running out of stuff all the time. |The staff had their break/smoking corner in the back. Fine, except for the fact that a lot of rooms were facing that way, and they started making noise very early in the morning.... 😖||When we arrived, 2 of the staff were having a loud argument, good start...||Maybe we were just most unlucky, because at 0730 they started cutting lawn and hedges with a big tractor that made a lot of noise. Late at night, some neighbours used the hotel's premises for parking, and that too was just outside our window. ||So, hardly any sleep from dusk till dawn. ||Nothing at all stood out in this place, and the staff seemed uninterested. When I addressed the noise problems, I didn't get any reaction at all. ||Too me, the name 6400 symbolizes the drop in stars 6 - 4 - 0 -...
Read moreWe stayed for 4 nights and got room 101. Instead of a double bed (like in the describtion), we got 2 seperate beds in a handicapped-friendly room. 1m outside the window is a plain wall, so you got no view whatsoever. Next to it trash cans (its the view from 102). So we tried to talk to someone: Reception isnt staffed, chat request remained unanswered and telephon support told us we could switch rooms the next day, they will call us. They didnt. Next day we got the info we can switch rooms for 1 night and have to return to 101 afterwards. Wow.
We checked out a day earlier and complained through booking.com. No refund and no apology by Hotel 6400. On the bright side: Rooms seemed clean, there is free coffee and a chillout room. So if you got any other room than 101 (and maybe 102) it can be okay. But dont expect any kind of service. And its kind of expensive, too.
Btw: My review was removed at one point. So no comment from Hotel6400, no clarification just the approach to get this review deleted. Why am I not surprised? I wondered if 1 star is too harsh - not anymore, it's...
