We booked a room here. (Yes, they also have rooms with private bathrooms in addition to cabins and campsites). Recommend booking directly with them by email. On their website it is easy to see the availability. The room we had was for 2-4 persons (we were 2). It was spacious for us and would be big enough for 2 more (perhaps kids). The bathroom was tiny but clean. Breakfast was available for purchase - the bread was quite good. We were staying here as a part of the Gendarmstein hike. It is only a small deviation from the route. There aren't many options for dinner. We were lucky that they had some bread left over that we could buy with cheese. They also sell pasta and pasta sauce and have common kitchens, so cooking is another option. The area was very quiet, on May 1, there were maybe 5 other guests.
The curtains of the room are very light, so in spring/summer the room stays bright late and becomes bright early. It would be nice to have darker curtains.
