Ok so where to start? Firstly I will never go back ever! But let's start with good things. So we had no booking but they allowed us in. We were told to pay before we left the next day by the woman at reception and the grumpy man walking in and out. Also gave us an advance on the card for washing etc and you pay when you leave. There are alot of services- washing machine and dryer (when the owners aren't using) , family shower and toilet rooms, kitchens, washing up and fish gutting sinks, electricity and water for the caravans and a great park for the kids ( but kids can be seen and not heard especially after 9pm) . We didn't hear the road at all, think because we were in fairly inside the camp. Be aware of mosquitos the size of golf balls lol. They had little house sheds and a new static tent which looked very nice. The camping price for one night is very very good.
BAD THINGS The owners Especially the man is very very rude. Our kids were cleaning the dishes....in order to clean dishes you need to use water. The kids were used to using the push down button taps. These taps are free flowing. So they were cleaning with cold water the dishes and not having to push down. The owner went rudely up to them started shouting at them and roughly taking our wok and pretending to clean it fast. He then came to our van and started shouting at us about our kids using water and taking so long cleaning our plates. And that we had to go over and sort it. When I went he proceeded to tell me that they were using too much cold water......and that we could go. Also saying something about us coming from Lanzarote and would we expect it there. So I got the kids to get everything and leave asap to the van without finishing the dishes. He then came again telling me and my husband to witness the 'mess' literally a few soap suds. So we got the kids to go back and clear up and go to the other sinks to finish the washing up but use very very little water. The kids told us that he was also telling other campers about them. When I was showering in the morning I was very very aware of the 4 minutes of hot water and that the owner was checking when I was coming out to check if I had cleaned as well. The check out is at 12. We were told the day before to pay as we leave. The female owner came marching over shouting are you staying another night, we said no we were packing up. It was 11. She said 'come now to reception and pay' errr and if we wanted to shower or use the kitchen or whatever with the card?!? Nope. Should have paid as soon as the sun was up.
This place would be an amazing campsite. But the owners are awful! I don't know whether it's because we aren't from Denmark or that we make our kids do chores or that it's normal to shout at people in Denmark. But we will never go back unless the owners change their attitude towards foreigners...
Read moreWe stayed in a 4 person camping cottage/hut here whilst visiting family nearby.|We had no idea what to expect and were very pleasantly surprised. Our hut had 2 bunk beds with comfy mattresses. There was a small table and chairs. There was a fridge, a kettle and crockery/cutlery for 4. It was spotlessly clean, and very well cared for. The nearest loo was just across the road, and again spotless. Further down the site were all the usual facilities - kitchen with pans, toilets and showers, washing/drying facilities. The hot showers and washer/dryers were operated with a card system. |We reserved via email, and paid when we left. |The entire site was very well cared for, clean and tidy. |We would be quite happy to go back again and recommend it without...
Read moreStayed one night in one of the cabin. It was fine. Can be a bit nosiy as it is close to the main road but was not an issue at night when traffic was minimal. Showers and bed sheets are extra so be prepared for that. There is a kids playground for them to play on. Close to trails for a walk in the forest or to the beach if...
