I first came across the Havneby Kro when I had completed my days work, it was recommended by a work colleague, who told me about the excellent all you can eat buffet. After a few minutes in the bar I was introduced to the friendly multilingual staff and went in to eat, the selection was out of this world, fresh fish, prawns, crayfish, with all sorts of complimenting sauces, roasted joints of beef, pork, and venison, and as many vegetables as you could shake a stick at. Nothing fancy, but...

Busy during summer holidays, wise to book a table well in advance. Rooms are reasonably priced, and some have extra loft sleeping spaces and are thus well-suited for families with 2-3 kids. Highly...
