We had a fantastic stay at Pension Laerkelil. The place is really beautful, both the surroundings and the pension - which is very nicely restored and decorated with design features (a bit too much in some places). The rooms are very nice, light and clean. Great free wi-fi and lots of electrical sockets everywhere (important in this charger-crucial era).||||Guests have access to a cooler and dishwashing utilities. The garden offers a trampoline and other toys for kids. The breakfast is fantastic and the owners gladly arrange individual arrangements for kids or allergics.||||The only possible drawback is the remoteness of the place, there is nothing within walking distance. Skovlund has a couple of good grocery stores but they close fairly early. The restaurant offering in this area is limited.||||The drive to Legoland/Lalandia in Billund is about 20 min. I also recommend visiting the west coast (eg Hvide Sande) which is within 1h by car - it's fantastically beautful and you'll have a mile-long atlantic beach all to yourself (eg...
Read moreI stayed at this hotel during a business trip, and I was absolutely blown away by the experience. This place is truly a hidden gem—peaceful, cozy, and full of thoughtful details that make you feel at home. The hospitality of the owners is beyond exceptional; they are warm, welcoming, and genuinely dedicated to making every guest feel special.
The rooms are spotless, beautifully designed, and overlook a stunning garden that feels like something out of a fairytale. The atmosphere is serene, making it a perfect retreat after a long day. The breakfast is simply outstanding—probably the best I’ve had during my travels—featuring fresh bread, delicious meats, and perfectly brewed coffee, all served in a charming Scandinavian-style dining area.
This hotel is more than just a place to stay—it’s an experience. I left feeling like I had visited old friends, and I will definitely be returning. More...
Read moreAttracted by previous reviews, we made a detour inland on our journey up the west coast of Jutland to find this delightful B&B tucked away along a track on the edge of the village of Skovlund. Our room was extremely comfortable opening out on to a veranda overlooking the owner’s extensive and pretty garden. Our extremely friendly hosts pointed us in the direction of a local inn for our evening meal. Breakfast was amazing, offering a good choice of food served in a tasteful Danish decorated dining room. Unfortunately we were only able to stay for one night, but this would be ideal accommodation for anyone wishing to relax in a quiet location in the Danish countryside. It is also relatively close to Legoland in Billund, the beautiful town of Ribe, the Wadden Sea National Park, and other locations along the west...
