Motel Spar 10 — Hotel in Viborg Municipality

I stayed at Motel Spar 10 a couple of days ago for two nights.||||My first room I got (when I arrived around midnight) had a "look and feel" like a youth hostel from the early 1990's (especially the bath; see pictures attached). Maybe the management does not know that the word "motel" comes from the word "hotel" and not from the word "youth hostel".||After a short discussion with the manager, who did not say any "sorry" or something else - I got a "newer" room - I think renovated or built around 2000.||||The breakfast room is a undecorated canteen and not cozy. The breakfast is average and could offer more fresh vegetables or fruits. I paid per night and room (single occupancy) about 63,00 EUR including breakfast. As Viborg is located in the province this is absolutely too expensive for a motel with this low furnishing.||||For this weak to poor performance in service and comfort as well as in cleanness (especially in the "old room" I got first where was dirt on the entrance door and in the bathroom (hairs etc.)) the highest rating I can give...

The town of Viborg in Denmark is off the usual tourist track in Denmark. I found this hotel through the Internet and it was the best value in town as Denmark can be expensive. |The motel is also a driving school for cars, trucks and buses. Located only 1 mile from the city center, it was quiet, clean and fun. They served a wonderful breakfast, with a good selection of breads, meats and cheeses as well as boiled eggs, juice and coffee. The staff were nice and spoke English very well. A computer was available for guest use as well as wireless internet access. The only strange thing was that there were no telephones in the other wise nice rooms. Each room had two twin beds, a television and a large bathroom with shower. The high ceilings gave a sense of a lot of space in the room. Although not luxurious (that would not fit the Danish lifestyle), this is a great option...

This is a motel - not a hotel. There is a high degree of self-service, but if you can live with this, it's a super place.||The rooms are nicely sized and in good condition. Bathroom is also large and well maintained.||The cleanliness is top notch.||A double room has two single beds - which, however, is to move around with.||Ability to "borrow" refrigerator etc. and porcelain - so you can for example buy a pizza and eat in the hotel room ..||Ideal for a stop up or two nights. The location is not within close walking distance to restaurants etc.||Breakfast absolutely ok.||We will gladly come back...
