My sister had her wedding at Kirsebærkroen and for those who just want to get to the point, here it is: It was amazing from start to finish.
Now, for those wanting to know a bit more, just read on.
The venue was by all accounts beautifully decorated and set up, with a lot of influence from the bride and groom of course. The staff and leadership was both skillful and helpful all the way, and it was a pleasure to be a part of. The food was delicious and the kitchen staff had the time schedule for plating and serving right on the point - no soggy deserts or cold meals from this place, I can safely promise. The party, following a lovely dinner was supported by a very competent and friendly bartender, who made the best Gin Hass and one of the best Mojitos, I have tasted so far.
As for breakfast, it was a tasty breakfast buffet with fresh juice and what hot beverages are required to cure your hangover.
The little park-area out front played a beautiful role in serving welcome-drinks as well as the cutting and consumption of the wedding cake.
In summary, and after having talked to the newlyweds about how they experienced the whole affair from booking to billing, I want to wholeheartedly recommend Kirsebærkroen, for both party, reception, wedding and...
Read moreIt is time to share our little secret. My husband and I have been staying at the Kirsebaerkroen B&B for well on twenty years. It is located in the beautiful seaside town of Preasto on the southern shore of the island Zealand in Denmark. The Kirsebaerkroen's charm is old world. The kind proprietor greets us every morning with a breakfast tray of delicious fresh baked breads, meats and cheeses, fruits and eggs that he prepares himself. The room is cozy, the beds comfy, and we often find a blooming plant or other little extras to welcome us. There is a pretty patio off the back glass door and the front door is the old horse stable split door. The event hall has a thatch roof with cresent windows that would be right at home in "The Hobbit". Take a walk past the open country field with lazy sheep who will come visit if you stand long enough at the fence, past the little marina with fishing boats and sailboats floating in the bay on the Baltic Sea, and near the friendly town of Preasto. You will want to return again and again to this quiet, beautiful countryside; this simple, warm and...
Read moreWe stopped for one night on our way back from Germany to Sweden. We had selected the B&B because it looked cute on the pictures, it offered a room for four at a reasonable price and included free parking and wifi. It is located in a very quiet residential area and the car could be parked right outside the room, the rooms had a sitting area on the back yard side. The room was simple, but spacious and clean with good beds. The feel and style is that you are staying in somebody's summer house.||Breakfast (not included) can be added at a reasonable price and offers a good selection, VERY nicely prepared and presented by the hotel owner!||We were also happily surprised over the Praesto village center, where we went to have dinner (several good restaurants), and which is a lovely, lovely little town with the cutest buildings and a beautiful view...
