Overall, I am disappointed with my experience here at Zoetry. What was supposed to a romantic getaway weekend under the stars where I would propose to my partner, turned into a complete and utter spoiled surprise by the staff and months of healing bug bites. When you arrive, they treat you like a 5 star experience. Bring you a cool towel and a drink as you check in. It was top notch, but this was the peak of the experience. It felt like after this, they just knew they were getting your money and didn't try anymore. Don't get me wrong. Under different circumstances, it probably would have been a somewhat enjoyable experience, but they completely ruined the surprise proposal to my partner. I was in communication with the staff weeks in advance prior to coordinating everything for the proposal. They had roses all over the room as requested and was on point, minus the balloons. I request they not use balloons in general. Keep in mind that my partner had no idea that I would be proposing, but the first balloon as you walked into our room had a ring on it and said "she said yes"... Instantly she knew. I wish it had stopped there. Google doesn’t give me enough room to write all the frustrations out, so I will bullet the high level. Dinner on the beach: I paid a good sum extra for this experience. Was not worth it in any way over their restaurants. At dinner was when I would be proposing. We agreed on the place, the details, and went back over it all with our concierge the day before and it was not delivered. - Our concierge, Heriberto insisted that sunset was at 6pm, as we really wanted to watch the sunset during our meal. Turns out, it was at 5:10pm. It was dark when we were seated. - The nice lamps pictured were replaced with some oil Tiki torches that were unlit, so it was completely dark walking to the table. - There was supposed to be a photographer to capture the proposal. There was not. - The entire seating area was not where we had discussed, the table was overly sloping, uneven and looked nothing like the photos when I purchased the experience. It was overly cheezy, poorly done and a complete lack of flowers as we had agreed upon. One potted orchid on the table hardly fit that request. We had discussed roses and lots of them. - There was supposed to be a heart trenched into the sand full of flowers, he went on and on about how great it would look. Well it was a oblong crooked heart drawn with a stick around the table with a couple of rose peddles sprinkled on it. - Dinner was a preselected 5 course meal. It was only 4. They skipped one of the courses completely. - They had asked about allergies in advance, well the first course had exactly the thing that it was not supposed to. They took the dish back. They could have just brought back the same dish, minus their sauce, but instead, 25 minutes later brought a plate of cold unseasoned shrimp for my partner. - The medium rare steak, was also very well done. The most frustrating part is I planned all of this weeks in advance, they showed pictures of what it would look like, I met with the concierge Heriberto and we spoke at length what it would look like, what the feel would be, and they completely failed to deliver. They didn’t even give me my money back for the botched dinner and experience. BUGS: They didn’t say much about this. But bring some Deet. Gnats and mosquitoes on the beach will eat you alive. Literally hundreds of bites, we counted over 300 bites on my partner. They last for weeks to months! My partner is still dealing with a handful of them 3 months later. They did offer mosquito repellent, but it was the gnats that did the damage. The seaweed on the beach sits in piles and it ferments, creating a nasty surprise. Pros: - Food was good, like genuinely good most of the time. - Spa. The spa staff and experience was the best part of our trip.

Never again!!!! Im going to start with some of the positive and then get to how we had the worst possible family vacation ever. We booked a 6 night stay at Zoetry from Dec 17- Dec 23 with our one year old and left the resort early on our third night. We wanted a quiet place with not much of an entertainment and our main reason was to have a high end resort so we avoid food poisoning which is a bit common in the DR. This is exactly what this small resort is quiet, small and very lowkey which is great if thats what you need. Our concierge Heriberto was amazing and one of the only positive memory we have here. He was helping us with our lost luggage, arranging diapers, removing geckos from our room etc. anything we asked for he was there for us so special thanks to him. Breakfast was good and fruits were tasty and the staff in general was friendly most of the time and preparing our little son food it was appropriate for his age. Coming to why we had the worst experience: -our main reason we had to leave was that i woke up with a burning sensation on my back on our second night, i thought it was mosquito bites but because im pregnant we wanted to double check with the resort dr. She said its „Jenjen“ mosquito bites gave me a cream and charged us 200USD for examination +25 USD for the cream my bites got worse (legs, arms and full back) throughout the day and we realized this can‘t be mosquito bites. We checked the patterns of the bites and after checking underneath the matress topper we found the bed bugs at around 2 in the morning booked a new ticket and left at 7 am for the airport. We even left 1 full luggage and clothing to not bring the bugs home with us My husband and i suffered for 3 whole weeks from scratches of the burns. I still have the marks all over my body. I will never forgive Zoetry and Hyatt for what they made me go through due to lack of hygine while i was 4 months pregnant trying to relax with my husband and son. My son luckily only had 2-3 bites because he was sleeping in a seperate crib that i had layered with 5 thick underpads and own bedsheets from home. The manager claimed its cane bugs but my family doctor confirmed its bed bugs due to the zig zag, hived and in line bites with black center. They sent me a report of investigation for pestcontrol which had room nr.222 but we never stayed in that room. We had sleepless nights of itching to a point where i would itch myself bleeding. I would get abdominal pain for 2 weeks because of the stress it all caused me and constantly went to the doctor to see if everything was okay with my pregnancy. My husbands bites developed fully the day we got back home, we realized had at least 100-150 bites on each leg!!!! He just didnt show an allergic reaction to it bu he almost lost his mind from the itching. I will add pictures even if its gross to look at Resort refunded us our night which is a good thing but is only damage control. -food is not at luxury resort level, its a la carte and the portions are small at dinner especially..staff tried their best but that won‘t make up for the food quality and taste -one night they had a staff party so the front bar was closed, staff at the carribean restaurant was running behind we had to wait about 25 mins for each item and got them wrong (it wasn‘t a big deal for us but not what you want to have on a vacation) To conclude this resort does have a bed bug problem even if they are in a huge denial so please do not go unless you want to have a horrible experience. I feel bad for the kind staff to leave a review like this but this was our reality and something i dont want anyone especially someone pregnant to go through.

I originally left a 5* review on day 2 of my stay, and that review absolutely held through the entire experience. I wanted a quiet all inclusive with a good beach, solid food, and nice staff. Zoetry delivered with flying colors. The property is fantastic. It's small - never takes more than 3 minutes to get anywhere on property. Because of the size and distance from the airport, this is not at all a party hotel. There is no party music playing in the background. No pool foam parties. That said there are still daily activities. Cigar rolling, yoga, water activities, wine tasting, martini tasting, etc. there was still always something available to do, but the idea is that you're there to relax, not be entertained by the staff. We booked a suite with the Bali bed. It was very nice to be able to relax and nap outside on the balcony. We still had a table to sit at outside and have a massive breakfast spread. Very delightful. There's not a bad room in the property. Once you are there you can access anything on property. No "preferred" rooms/pools/bars/drinks/etc. Our concierge, Alejandro, checked in with us every morning in person. Anything we requested he was able to fulfill and was truly quite helpful. The beach is good for the area. While windy during our stay, there is a natural breakwater (reef?) a few hundred yards out which means that some very large waves dissipate greatly by the time they get to the beach. The beach is cleaned routinely of any seaweed or sargassum, but is otherwise natural. There is no shortage of beach chairs, daybeds or palapas for the small number of rooms on the property. Food was ok-to-good at the property. We had room service a few times, as well as tried all of the restaurants. While there are only 3 restaurants, they each alternate cuisines each day, so there are in fact 6 styles of food overall. The cafe had great coffee and snacks. Great for times between meals and for sweet treats. Lunch by the beach was the only buffet-style offering, but that's not a daily occurrence. That said, the beach grill style food was routinely good. Really enjoyable and tasty. The spa had an hydrotherapy circuit. It was great, and on nicer days outside it was very quiet. We did not get a spa service, maybe next time! The hotel is I believe the very last hotel north along the coast in Punta Cana. Makes for a long drive, but it also means you can explore the beach pretty endlessly. We didn't go particularly far, but there were groups on horseback that would go pretty far north. The hotel wifi was ok. Spotty, but good enough for the basics if you want to stay connected. If you have a cell phone for roaming, I used Claro and it was good for phone calls, but data was slow. Not a hotel problem, just a general note. Negatives: our room had a couple bugs, but it's a bit of a risk of any tropical island. Honestly that's about it!

We just finished a 10 day honeymoon at Zoetry Agua Punta Cana and cannot rave about this place enough! The service was amazing especially Ruben, Natali, Oliver, Elvis, Eduardo, Gilberto, Gabriel and so many others - at times you may feel overwhelmed by how many people are available to make every meal or occasion as good as possible and are always met with a humble ‘es un placer!’ The setting is amazing - you have not seen beauty until you have woken up in your room, opened the curtains and seen walk out pools and palm trees and the ocean in the distance - the grounds are kept well and everything including a beach fresh off a hurricane are freshly manicured daily. We sat in the same chairs for 9 straight days loving every second of our time on the beach - the space is plentiful! Though we did not take part in many activities - the opportunity for a wide assortment of things to do whether sit at the swim up bar, painting classes, exercise, a variety of tastings and so much more are available for you and your significant other as well as for families with younger kids. We were worried about food being an issue for 10 days but let me assure you their lengthy menus at indigo for breakfast and lunch and room service keep you satisfied! The rotating menus for dinner gave us fresh options every night and we did not have the same meal twice, constantly being blown away by how complete the food options were day after day. Furthermore, extreme attention went into a first class dining experience whether it was a burger at the beach or enjoying a full meal at the restaurants. The produce and ice in our drinks were not an issue at any point - somehow the water was completely safe though we strove to avoid coming into contact with tap water - this is not an issue because your room is constantly updated with first rate housekeeping with water bottles and a well stocked fridge of soft drinks and water! We made use of the gym and spa and enjoyed the amenities but truthfully we could hardly be pulled away from the splendor of the beach where warm waters and the relaxing sounds of the tide kept us satisfied for hours on end - don’t worry about weather app predictions - more than likely you are sitting in sunshine and cool breezes - the only weather event we experienced lasted all of 20 minutes then the beach was clear for a great day! Whenever we needed anything at all our concierge Alejandro was within reach via WhatsApp to steer us the right way or serve us including helping us enjoy three straight days of personalized authentic Dominican meals at Indigo including Las Banderas, Mariscos, and San Cocho - each day he sends the schedule of events and which restaurants are open and the menu they are serving - we could wake up and plan another day in paradise. You are far away from the hustle and bustle of busy resorts that attract excessive attention from vendors and lots of other vacationers. If you want to escape to enjoy a quiet few days of first class service and relaxation Zoetry is the place to go!

Regarding bugs - you are in a topical climate but the resort gives you plenty of bug spray and that can easily be found beachside/poolside at the bars and restaurants - a few quick spray and you are hassle free the rest of the time!

The rooms are comfortable with beds bathrooms and showers you would expect at a first class resort. You can control the temperature easily within your room and go from icey cool upon your return from a warm beach day to comfortable for when you are getting cleaned up for dinner. The outlets are the same as in USA so no need for adapters - the tv has satelite access to all major channels!

Upon arrival we chose the scents we wished for our room to be cleaned with and were met with a welcome bottle of champagne and local rum in our room! The boutique has additional items including medicine, alcohol, sunscreen or anything else needed to supplement your trip.

Within hours we were already planning our next trip to Zoetry Agua - don’t miss this spot in your search for leisure, luxury, and all around...

Our recent stay at Zoetry Agua Punta Cana from June 2nd to June 7th was nothing short of extraordinary. This beautiful, smaller resort is an absolute gem – very lush, impeccably maintained, and truly feels like a tranquil oasis. What truly sets Zoetry Agua apart, however, is its phenomenal staff. They genuinely care about their guests' experience, consistently stopping to greet us, ask if we needed anything, and going above and beyond to make our visit perfect, especially for my 50th birthday celebration. We could not have asked for a better visit.

We had the pleasure of staying in one of the three-bedroom villas, which was absolutely perfect. Being on one floor with no one above us provided a wonderful sense of privacy and quiet. Each of our rooms was incredibly spacious, featuring its own large bathroom, and the private plunge pool was a fantastic addition for a quick dip whenever we desired. We all felt we had the perfect amount of privacy and comfort in our accommodations.

The staff at Zoetry Agua Punta Cana are the soul of this resort. Their authentic desire to ensure our experience was flawless was evident in every interaction. We are compelled to highlight several individuals who truly made our stay unforgettable: Amada Bernard (Concierge): Amada was the true highlight of our stay, going above and beyond even before our arrival. She meticulously helped with planning via email, organizing special requests like my 50th birthday dinner on the beach and water spa services. She met us upon arrival, personally brought the head chef to our villa to confirm my vegetarian menu, kept track of all our guests, and consistently made us feel incredibly special. Her dedication and personalized attention were outstanding. Fernando (Bell Person/Service Staff): Upon arrival, as Fernando was bringing our bags to the villa, he noticed how much we enjoyed the complimentary champagne. He proactively offered to bring another chilled bottle with fresh glasses, a gesture that was truly above and beyond and perfectly set the tone for our luxurious stay. Lisbeth (Restaurant Waitress): Lisbeth, a waitress at several restaurants, incredibly knew it was my birthday even though we had never met. She started wishing me a happy birthday days before the actual date, showcasing an astonishing level of detail and personalization. This thoughtful gesture made me feel celebrated throughout the entire week. Alejandra (Beach Waitress): Alejandra immediately got to know us, remembering everyone's names and always greeting us with a genuine smile. She was incredibly attentive, frequently checking if we needed drinks while on the beach and even moving our drinks to the pool area when we transitioned. Like Lisbeth, she also knew it was my birthday, demonstrating the resort's amazing attention to individual guests. Her energy and dedication, even in the heat, were remarkable. Carlos (Bell Person): Carlos provided exceptional service upon arrival. He took the time to ask which bags belonged to which room, then personally settled each bag into the correct room, showing us all the amenities within each space. This personalized welcome helped us settle in effortlessly. Eliezer 1 (Front Desk Staff): Eliezer 1 provided a wonderfully warm welcome upon our arrival. He offered us drinks and water, and memorably, allowed us to choose a preferred scent for our room, ensuring a pleasant aroma for our entire week's stay. Frank Alexis Pena (Head Chef): Chef Frank Alexis Pena went above and beyond for my dietary needs. He consistently remembered throughout the week that I am vegetarian. On one occasion, while my friends enjoyed the Dominican buffet, he personally offered to make me a delicious vegetarian quesadilla from scratch, bringing it out specially. This level of personalized care, even days after our arrival, was truly outstanding and made me feel incredibly valued. Gabriel & Joel (Canoa Bar Bartenders): Gabriel and Joel at the Canoa bar were fantastic! They clearly love their jobs and engaging...

Our concierge, Heriberto insisted that sunset was at 6pm, as we really wanted to watch the sunset during our meal. Turns out, it was at 5:10pm. It was dark when we were seated. The nice lamps pictured were replaced with some oil Tiki torches that were unlit, so it was completely dark walking to the table. There was supposed to be a photographer to capture the proposal. There was not. The entire seating area was not where we had discussed, the table was overly sloping, uneven and looked nothing like the photos when I purchased the experience. It was overly cheezy, poorly done and a complete lack of flowers as we had agreed upon. One potted orchid on the table hardly fit that request. We had discussed roses and lots of them. There was supposed to be a heart trenched into the sand full of flowers, he went on and on about how great it would look. Well it was a oblong crooked heart drawn with a stick around the table with a couple of rose peddles sprinkled on it. Dinner was a preselected 5 course meal. It was only 4.
