Bluefish Condos Complex — Hotel in La Hispaniola

I stayed at the blue fish (f3) from August 30, 2013 to September 4, 2013. My stay at this residence was miserable. Problems consisted of, no air conditioning, no fans in the immense sweltering heat. Sweaty and a mess while attempting to sleep in mildew and molded bedrooms. I brought this issue to the attention of one by the name of Danny, who I must say was extremely rude and unprofessional, to say the least. During my first encounter with Danny, I requested the air conditioning and fans to be fixed. He said he would take care of this mater, this was day one. Second day and third day passed still no air conditioning. Furthermore my entire vacation was spent without air conditioning.||||However there was a tiny child’s room with an AC and this room reeked of mildew and moldy smelling bed linens and pillows and all around filth. On day 2 I complained to Danny about the lack of air conditioning and cleaning services. This place was nasty and filthy and no one seemed to care. The response I got from Danny was “take your complaints to Brent Lewis, this is not my job, I am a computer programmer”. Your worker, Danny also told me to make my guests clean the apartment, referring to my guests as “prostitutes”. He also insulted me by making rude sexually disgusting comments about me and my guest. To say the least I was outraged and extremely disappointed. I kindly told him to be professional and that I would bring this matter to the owner’s attention. ||||I was hoping for a great vacation but instead I got heaps of mildew, mold, filth, sweaty heat and unprofessional customer service. Bluefish Condos,||Where do I start, Bluefish is run by a Mom and Pop operation, Mom is slick and Pop is arrogant and rude. We rented a 2 bedroom beachfront condo.||When we arrived everything seemed ok, then we noticed the fridge didn’t work, to late food was lost, but they promptly replaced the fridge from another unit. This fridge had 2 speeds freeze or thaw. More eggs thrown out. The next thing I noticed was the biggest spider I have ever seen walking across the room. At that point my wife told me there was something eating the fudge in her suitcase. The bed in the master bedroom was like sleeping on the floor it was that hard, I started to sleep on the couch. While sleeping on the couch, I heard and noticed frigging rats in the apartment. Amazingly I caught 2 rats also have to say the apartment stank of mold and mildew, so I was told to turn on the A/C by my brother who lives there and it should cure the problem. Only the windows are so corroded they won’t close properly and pop open randomly, Pop came to me (referring me to bub)the A/C/ bill was high. The longer I stayed the worse the smell got. They moved me to a different apartment after. All was good except the window didn’t close and had plastic bags shoved in them and the place was infested with sugar ants.||I would never...

We booked a condo located in the Bluefish building complex through Air B&B and the place did not disappoint. If you can book a unit facing the sea go for it is well worth the little surplus then the other ones. We went in the winter and all days we had the spectacle of huge waves crashing on the rock a few feets away. They are endless beaches on both side almost deserted, you can swim but in our time there you needed to be alert cause some rip currents are present. Security on the buildings site is A1, house keepers and security guards are super friendly.||The only downside of that place is that there is a core of old hags living there, you know the grumpy type that will try to make you read the fine print of the pool rules and stare you to death if your kids do bombs in the pool, just ignore them or better feign that you dont speak english and you will have...
