Hotel Restaurant El Viejo Pirata — Hotel in La Hispaniola

For some odd reason I chose to stay in Boca de Yuma. This little hotel has a lot of charm and amenities, although it is a little dated. Staff (Nancy and Franklin) goes out of the way to please guests. There's a bar, a decent size pool, and gated parking. Rooms are large and they have hot water (uncommon in small hotels in DR). AC is good, but the place has constant problem with power, and it often cuts out. You don't really need it in the winter months unless you like to sleep in a cold like I do.|Breakfast is between 8:00 - 9:30, included in a room price,and is very decent as well. Just beware that you have to pay for juice separately. |But before you decide, make sure you have a compelling reason to stay at Boca de Yuma. There are no swimmable beaches in immediate vicinity and the one across the river is somewhat dirty. We had a wonderful time in a super cute environment. It is a small hotel with very nice pool area. unfortunately the beach access is not possible anywhere close but one can take the boat or drive to the beach. Breakfast is homemade and really tasty, included in the price. They offer also lunches/dinner should one wish, with fresh fish. the maintainance is a bit outdated (furniture, pipes) btu the price ratio however is really good considering you can park there and you get breakfast. ДА ЕСТЬ РЯДОМ ГРОТ,500 МЕТРОВ,ГРЯЗНЫЙ, НО МОЖНО ПОПРЫГАТЬ, КАК В РОДНОМ КРЫМУ,НА ЛАСПИ,ДО ОККУПАЦИИ РАШИСТАМИ, В ГРОТЕ ЕСТЬ КЛАССНЫЙ РЕСТОРАН,И БЫЛО НЕ ПРИЯТНО,КОГДА В ТЫ В РЕСТОРАНЕ,А МЕСТНЫЕ НЕГРО МУЧАЧО ПАРНИ ВЗРОСЛЫЕ, ГОЛЫЕ СТОЯЩИМИ ЧЛЕНАМИ ПЕРЕД ТУРИСТАМИ,СТОЯТ НА ПРОТИВОПОЛОЖНОЙ СТОРОНЕ,ГРОТА,В ТРИДЦАТИ МЕТРАХ,А ТАМ И ТУРИСТЫ,И ДЕВОЧКИ МАЛЕНЬКИЕ С РОДИТЕЛЯМИ ТАКОГО ХАМСТВА, НЕТ НИ ГДЕ ВО ВСЕЙ ДОМИНИКАНЕ . А АДМИНИСТРАЦИЯ РЕСТОРАНА, И ПОЛИЦИЯ МЕР НЕ ПРИНИМАЕТ! АХ,ДА ЭТО ЖЕ Э ДЕРЕВНЯ БОКА ЮМА, КАК В ЛЮБОЙ ДЕРЕВНЕ ПОКА,БЫДЛО НЕ ПОНИМАЕТ!
