Ocean Manor Resort — Hotel in La Hispaniola

This locations is excellent if you looking for peace and quite! I really enjoy the hospitality and how the resort workers cater to your needs. Very low key no heavy party nor feeling insecure. We left our stuff at the pool area with the sense of security and return nothing missing! Also so far away from the street vendors and heavy public foot traffic which is a plus. We felt like the beach area is so reserved for us at this resort. You can take a long nap and absolutely nothing happens to your stuff or you at the beach! It's close to the center of the beach town a good 20 mins walk on the beach to where the kite surfers and regulars restuarants / shops... At the resort the meals God it's hard to explain cause its absolutely delicious must try!!! every meal is cook to perfection!! Very clean and well taken care of.. Security is well aware especially at night they protect the property from outside who don't belong there! This is a most go to location if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of typical beach resort. Very peaceful and relaxing no one bother you and you are well respected! Thank you Ocean Manor for your great hospitality and well keeping of this location, Definitely you have my business and will come back soon!!!

Ps. Tho I appreciate you let us stay two hours more then the original check out at 10am. I do hope you can review and change the check out time policy to at least 12noon to 1pm which is great time for your guest who have 4- 8pm flight departure times. When we here there alot of your guest had late evening flight just like me and wanted to check out later then 10am which is to early! Overall I had the best stay at your location!!...

I have to be perfect honestly about my stay with Ocean Manor Resort. First, it is not the easiest place to find. The deco on the front of the building is very small and easily missed. Although the hotel staff was gratuitous, they need to be careful in what they say about their guests who are entering the resort, some Americans DO UNDERSTAND Spanish.

The overall environment is very quaint. The beds were comfortable, however; the room is in need of an extreme update, the bathroom had little leftover hair in the shower drain, and the room only has one TV (28-inch). The sofa bed had a dead bug in the creases, gross! The power went out several times.

The concierge who greeted us, was helpful and gave us a tour of other resorts, which was great. However, we were more impressed by the other resorts and what they had to offer. We wanted to stay there, other resorts had more to offer. The food was good. Breakfast was alright, lunch and dinner was our favorite. But they take forever to bring out the food! Don't ask for food to be brought up to you at the bar or room, it took almost 30-45min. However, the resort is very affordable with its all inclusive fee.

The resort itself is meant for those who want a quite peaceful time. We were told it is not safe to go out after dark, which rose a red flag. The closest entertainment was 25-30min away, aside from the mini club from across the street. Even though the resort is small, they should offer a shuttle service for their guests to get around.

Ocean Manor, is a pleasant stay for those who'd like it quite and who rarely want to be disturb. Regardless of my personal experience, it is otherwise a nice place to relax and...

Here are the facts We had a group of 20 people. Stay was for 7 days.

Food orders could take up to 2 hours to receive

No wash clothes unless requested and although I did not request a wash cloth I was charge for cloths upon check out

Beach area had seaweed and horse waste for long periods of time

We wanted to take a ATV tour and found a company that had several good ratings on trip adviser. There was an attempt to steer us away from that company to a higher priced company. The staff memeber picked another company that was higher price and would not reveal the name of the company until requested repeatedly. That company could not be researched

There was AC in the Living Room/Kitchen area of our room only. We used the pull out bed because it was too hot to sleep in our bedroom.

We had a great show on Wed from outside dancers and a DJ

Food preparation got better as I stay came to a end

Bartenders were attentive and polite
