villa New Amsterdam — Hotel in La Hispaniola

-A nearly complete construction - Hang out here if you are looking for a quiet place to stay. Close to the hospital (el hospital) and out of town. The location is 'a locals' family home. So you're staying at their home. When I say 'at', it's because of the living room, bar, pool table. and the kitchen is outside and under a large roof. There is a two story concrete structure located across from there. A brick floor that stretches back to a large swimming pool connects these two areas. There are 2 small rooms upstairs. There's more draft than a typical room than you may be used to. The room's construction was completed just days before we arrived, so Im sure by then the room will include a small refrigerator, seating, microwave (?), and a mobile electric fan so you can take the cool breeze with you. There's a wifi signal that's weak in some places. For the kitchen. Bart makes delicious pizzas almost every Friday and a fine Asian influenced quisein that I never had a chance to try, made fresh almost every Sunday. So, the outdoor area fills with patrons on those days. Peace and quiet will have to sit these afternoons out. Below in amongst the hungry, thirsty people, you will find sailboat cruisers from the bay and expats from the land that speak fluent inglés y español.
