My boyfriend and I went here for two nights before flying out of Punta Cana, we drove down from Las Terrenas so this wasn’t out of the way for us at all. Though we did feel like we were taking a gamble at first because it wasn’t entirely clear what’s going on with the hotel based on what’s online, but we were told after arrival that the hotel was bought by Marriott in January 2025 and it is currently making some expansions to the property. So clearly they’re still going through a transition phase, hence why it’s currently $260/night all inclusive for 2 people. But even now it’s a really great hotel. They retained the existing staff who are also transitioning to the new higher tier ownership (and I’m sure more demanding guests), but they were always fantastic and everyone seems to be happier now that they’re working for Marriott. There were a couple of goofs but it is what it is and got sorted out immediately and professionally. I liked the atmosphere, it was pretty relaxed. It was also very quiet but I imagine that will change as Marriott is installing slides and whatnot to make it a more family-friendly resort. There will be an adults only side at least. My one hope for immediate remodeling with the purchased facilities is that they would remove the jacuzzis in the villas in the next year or so, they’re weird. My boyfriend and I stayed on the beach for the most part. It’s a great beach! The resort is right next to a locals beach (i.e. not just the shore) and folks were traversing to the next beach over but with there being a security guard and whatnot we felt comfortable leaving our stuff at the cabana. We ate at the breakfast and lunch buffet, seafood restaurant, snack bar, and Asian restaurant. Would suggest skipping the hibachi at this time. We asked to order off the Asian restaurants al a carte menu after eating the hibachi (they were fine with it). Dessert at the seafood restaurant was not good, but other sweets we had during our short stay were good. Cappuccinos made in the cafe were also good.

It was our first time ever traveling to Dominican Republic and we were so so happy to have had the luck to come across this great place. If you are looking for a private beach atmosphere, this is the place. ❤️ We literally had the beach all to ourselves and it was the most incredible experience. The scenery is breathtaking and the food was amazing. All was supreme but the best thing the hotel had was the outstanding service from EVERY SINGLE staff member. From Joel at the front that greeted us with the biggest smile and comfort to Keila and Ronal at the restaurant and the amazing Chef who was always there making us special requests due to our eating habits. I also wanted to thank Leo and Beatriz at the bar station, their smile and attention to detail was so captivating. Last but certainly not least the one who makes this whole team possible, Dasa. She was always always there, attentive to anything that was going on and making it work when we wanted or needed something. The team is superb and one thing that caught my attention is that everyone was always aware of what was going on, if we had needed let’s say towels… they would come around asking (others who we did not ask for towels) about the towels…as if they all communicated on our needs. This was indeed a great trip thanks to them. We will be back again because they made us feel like family.🥰

I had the pleasure of staying at this incredible hotel, and it was truly a five-star experience from start to finish. The location is beautifully secluded, offering a quiet and peaceful retreat, perfect for relaxation. With low occupancy during my stay, it was easy to access everything on the property without any hassle. The staff was exceptional, attentive, friendly, and always willing to go above and beyond to ensure a great stay. Whether it was at the front desk, the restaurants, or the activities, everyone provided top-notch service. The property itself is well laid out, making it easy to get around, whether heading to the beach, pool, or other amenities. I really enjoyed kayaking in the crystal-clear waters, and the nightly shows were a great way to end each day. One of the highlights of my trip was the delicious grilled lobster on the beach. The hotel also offers free round-trip transportation to the airport, which made traveling stress-free. the spa was impressively clean and provided a truly relaxing experience. If you’re looking for a quiet, luxurious, and well-serviced getaway, this is the perfect place.

We stayed at the Marriott Miches for a week in March. The hotel was extremely quiet, but that was perfect for us. The resort has recently been renovated and the second half of the resort is yet to open (we were told it was around 2-3 weeks away) but this is across a creek so no disruption from construction work (the open part is on the right of the map in the pictures, the closed part is the left).||We arrived at Punta Cana airport and sadly our transfer hadn't been booked, one of the benefits of this hotel is the transfer they provide given it's a 90min drive from the airport. We rang them, they apologised and arranged for someone to come, but this was at least an hour later. When we arrived at the airport there was an apology but nothing else, which given we booked directly with Marriott was a little frustrating, I had confirmed the transfer a week before, but with hindsight I should have reconfirmed the day before too. We were shown a photo on the receptionists phone of the resort map to take a picture of, together with the dining schedule, generally there was a rotation of one or two restaurants open daily. To be honest, given the occupancy I'm pleased they did it this way. ||Overall the food was good. The pastries at breakfast were excellent, far nicer than many I've had in all inclusive resorts. There was a great fresh fruit selection, and the omelettes were good too. Lunch had a nice variety between BBQs and the cabana restaurant. Dinner was good, though I'll echo the previous comment that the buffet and cabana restaurants were really brightly lit in the evening which is one of my pet hates.||The rooms are nice, clean and spacious. Housekeeping late morning. The minibar restock was a little more sporadic, perhaps happening 4 days out of the 7. No turndown service during the stay, but this wasn't a problem. We were in block 7 next to reception looking inland.||The pool was rarely busy, there were always plenty of sun loungers, though shade was more of a challenge. The rooftop pool had the same lack of shade and on the couple of times we went up there we were the only people. |The beach is beautiful, the sunloungers need some TLC to stop the shades blowing around in the breeze. ||The bar was good. Quick drink service from Junior, some lovely cocktails and he quickly knew our drinks of choice. Entertainment was basic, there was something nightly at 8:45pm quizzes, live night, karaoke etc. ||Overall, would I come back - yes, but I'll keep a close eye on the reviews to see how they cope with more customers when the other section opens. There's a few minor things they can improve, and I'm sure I'd give this...

As a Marriott Platinum member with 40+ nights this year, I’ve come to expect a level of service and professionalism that Marriott properties are known for. Unfortunately, my experience at the Marriott Miches Beach was nothing short of a disaster. While the facilities are new and aesthetically pleasing, the service was absolutely abysmal - this place is a dumpster fire.. Here’s a breakdown:

ront Desk Chaos: The front desk staff seemed completely clueless, moving at a glacial pace without any sense of urgency or purpose. Despite having reservations for our family of five that clearly stated two double beds, we were unceremoniously pushed into rooms with King beds. No solution, no apology—just indifference.

Restaurant Nightmare: The service at the restaurants was beyond frustrating. Calls for room service went unanswered. Staff lied about our reservation time, claiming we missed it when we clearly hadn’t. Getting a drink was a gamble—it was 50/50 whether it would even arrive before we finished eating. One evening, we sat for an hour waiting for drinks and food. Restaurants opened later than advertised. If they say 6 PM, be prepared for 7 PM or later.

Food Availability: Some restaurants had an already limited menu but were frequently out of basic items like pizza and burgers. The café went days without being restocked, leaving guests with little to no options.

Unprofessional Behavior: I witnessed bartenders sampling the drinks they were pouring for guests—absolutely unacceptable and unsanitary.

The service was so consistently awful that we made the decision to leave early and move to another resort. Marriott Miches Beach completely failed to deliver the experience we were promised.

This property is a far cry from the standard Marriott experience. The lack of organization, training, and professionalism from staff turned what should have been a relaxing vacation into a frustrating ordeal. Unless major improvements are made, I cannot recommend this property to anyone, especially to loyal Marriott members who expect better.

Marriott, you need to step in and fix this place—it’s...
