One of the hidden gems of Las Galeras, Samaná, Dominican Republic!
WOW! It's a little paradise indeed! 🤩
The costumer service was perfect! Starting with the owners Nora, José Raúl and the chef Mirko all along with the attentive staff. 💙
The breakfast is included hence Angie does a great job. It was delicious! 🤤 Another plus is that almost everything they cook there is from their organic orchard and also you can schedule meals/dinners in advance with Mirko. Eating at the bocadito (a round table with 2 wooden chairs in front of the sea) is a sweet pleasure.
The place is just wonderful with the infinite pools, the jacuzzis merging with the mesmerizing sea, the mountains and the whole landscape = heaven! 😍
We stayed in the African room and it was a dream come true. Imaging having a chill time in a Jacuzzi in your room looking at the sea or taking a shower 🚿 while getting hypnotized with the a never ending sea 🙌🏾 The room have a little pond too is so nice! Of course you have a hammock towards the sea and 2 chair. It has 2 pairs of towels, 1 pair for the shower and the other pair for the pools in the common area. A nice touch are the pair of bathrobes 🥰 Other useful stuff, the mosquito net but we didn't see any. The decor of the room is so real and then the owners confirmed this, because it's their furnitures that they brought from Africa 💪🏾 And even the floors had little surprises, mosaics of animals, stars, sun, moon which are in the common area too 🦥🌝🌛
The place has papagayos🦜, these beautiful parrots of amazing colors and they dance too 🤣 It has a real flamingo🦩, peacocks🦚 and lovely dogs along other animals🐠
A warming detail was the saxophone player on the Saturday night 🎷💛🎶 It was the birthday of my partner and the owners surprised us with a happy birthday song and the saxo it was magic! 🎂🍾🎉
It was just what we wanted and more, a wonderful and quite place🎇
I must confess that this is one of the few places in my opinion that deserves a big 5 stars.
We are very grateful!
TOTALLY RECOMMEND IT!

Read moreCasa el Paraiso is an unforgettable vacation destination. We visited in May and stayed at the Moroccan room #7. The room was perfectly decorated with romantic lanterns and tiles sourced from Morocco.
The best feature of the room was the impeccable view of the ocean and particularly the fact that you could sleep with the large automatic “panoramic blind” open without the risk of mosquitoes. The owner explained that the climate from the hilltop is too arid for mosquitoes. And I can attest that I had zero mosquito bites and ALWAYS get bitten no matter where I go :)
The beauty of Casa el Paraiso is unparalleled. From peacocks roaming across the property, to sights of flamingos, parrots, hummingbirds and not to mention our favorite dog companion Marina, El Paraiso lives up to its name.
The views of the ocean are so beautiful and always in sight. You can see the ocean from the common area, the pool deck and even the view from the outdoor bathroom for guests is wonderful. Everywhere you look there is an innate feeling of paradise and the warm welcoming of home.
The food is amazing, every meal we had was impeccable from Chef Myrko and his staff. We had the best pan seared octopus roasted w honey and chili, that we’ve ever had in our life. The staff are all beyond accommodating and so kind. They all gave us great advice on what beaches to go to and even helped organize a visit to Fronton Beach. Also FYI there are amazing sights of humpback whales from the hotel and I’ve heard that Jan-april are great months to see them (particularly in April) .
Once you go to casa el Paraiso you will want to go again and again!!!!! You will thoroughly enjoy your time and don’t miss out on this hidden gem!
Thank you so much...
Read moreCasa El Paraiso was the restful retreat in paradise that my wife and I sorely needed after a busy fall semester. The majority of rooms, like ours, open up into a breathtaking view of the hillside and Samana Bay. The grounds are lush, well-maintained, peaceful, and relaxing - a hillside infinity pool, 2 hot tubs, a small beach-like area with loungers, daybed, and extra covered seating - and even a few birdies (including 3 parrots and 1 flamingo!) round out this jungle paradise. There are many seating options in the resort’s central hut for lounging and dining - including a separate couples’ table with its own overlook. Jose and Nora were excellent hosts - extremely friendly, always with lovable doggies and kitties in tow - and had spot-on recommendations for beaches, horseback riding, and day trips. Jose even took us sailing with us on his catamaran - a special treat we’ll never forget. The staff is kind and friendly and makes a great, filling Dominican breakfast every day (you can occasionally get a heaping bowl of their delicious sancocho!). As others have noted, Chef Mirko (and his amazing colleague Lucy) serves up impeccable cuisine, from showstoppers (surf and turf, lobster, tomahawk steaks, slow-cooked ribs) to perfectly al dente pastas to starters both creative (spicy shrimp and pineapple salad; lionfish tartare) and decadent (generously portioned bone marrow). He is a chef who truly loves cooking, and it showed in every spectacular meal - there is absolutely no reason to go into town and find an inferior dinner when you’re in his capable hands. All told, we would come back again in...
