Fabulous Village Ecological Resort — Hotel in San Francisco de Macorís

The road to get to the resort was unpaved and therefore making it hard to get to the top. Most definitely will make it with a 4x4. I got stuck half way and contacted the owner which name is Fabulous. Fabulous was able to come down and pick up myself and my companion and have one of his worker drive the vehicle up. I had a nissan versa car rental from enterprise btw. I paid cash as that was the only form of payment. To me it was sketchy at first, but once I arrived all that fear went away. The owner Fabulous and all his workers were great. We were sent the breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu by text and had the option to either eat it at the deck or have it delivered to room. We chose the room for two meals but the deck above the pool is also nice to eat at to look at the menu. Our room was recently built so had no chairs in the patio and the only room available that night and I really want to stay there so I made the choice to give up that amenity. It was raining through my stay so I was unable to do the zipline, but the course looked super long with a beautiful scenery of the mountains and trees. The room did not have an A/C , but only a fan but the temperature was around 74 degrees since I was at a higher elevation. The room does come with a fridge and tv. The food served was great and tasted natural and was included in the price of the hotel stay. It be nice if the government paved the road to make it easier to get to the hotel and also would make it a great jogging and bicycling route due to the elevation. I hope to stay here with a group of family members in the next 3 month, as I did enjoy my stay sand the natural air. Our day at Fabulous Village Ecological Resort was truly breathtaking. I went with my twin sister and our sons, and from start to finish, the experience was nothing short of awe-inspiring.

We did the day pass (RD$1,600 per adult and RD$850 per child aged 4–12), which included a delicious meal from a diverse menu and a refreshing glass of lemonade. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.

But what truly stood out was the top-tier customer service. Every staff member greeted us with warmth, respect, and genuine smiles. It’s clear that the team operates like a community—everyone was consistent in how they treated us, and you can tell that making guests feel welcome is their priority.

I also loved that it’s an eco-resort. The natural decor, wood finishes, and earthy touches make the space feel peaceful and intentional. The entire location is perfect—not just for day trips, but also for overnight stays, family getaways, or even events. The view from one of the restaurants is out of this world, and they even have ziplining on-site if you’re feeling adventurous!

The owner was also kind and welcoming, which added a special touch to our visit.

One important tip: as many other reviewers have said, the road leading up to the resort can be rough—especially the second half—so it’s best to go in an SUV. That said, if you don’t have one, the hotel is more than willing to send someone to pick you up at the base of the hill if you give them a call.

All in all, this place is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise it gets. We left refreshed, connected, and already...
